As someone who works in the Entertainment Industry having written and produced for a lot of very successful Kpop and Jpop artists and bands for well over 10 years- based here in London but also in the States, Korea and Japan, I reiterate that people shouldn't worship idols.
My Agency spends a lot of time and a ridiculous amount of money building images and creating personas. People still believe that they know these artists.... You really don't. You know what we show. That's it.
I've dealt with a lot of agencies, large and small. We don't yet know if these allegations are true or not but in my professional experience it's very unusual for "SM Entertainment" to not do what they usually do and that is to park the artist on 'hiatus' while they figure out the next move.
The fact that he has been dropped so quickly tells me all that I need to know. They are rushing to distance themselves from this scandal in order to protect the other artists on their rosta.
I think that this is just the tip of the iceberg and they know it.
Sadly, this really isn't rare😳🇬🇧

Rather than insulting men who are taking part in bringing light to this situation i think it's needed that men help in this as well, because it's not just for women, this is for all the people around the world, we will not have equality and respect if both the sides are always fighting over who's better because that's not the point at all, us women just want to be seen as an equal and treated with respect which should be the bare minimum.
