I love the more human moments of Superman. Lifting planets is amazing, but when we see him talk to a regular Joe - discuss his flaws, his worries - that's when we realise what it's like to have a whole world on your shoulders. Hats off to Demigah for such a raw performance!

Garth Ennis may hate Superheroes but he sure treats Superman with the upmost respect! Also Russian Comic Book Geek And Demigah you did good jobs(especially Geek nailing Monaghan’s attitude and Demigah subtly portraying the Man of Steel’s frustration)
This is a more grounded Superman. He can hear cells divide. He can easily hear people's heart beats. He has to tune 90% of the calls for help he hears to keep from going mad (one man with the power of an alien god is still one man). But sound doesn't travel in space.

@@Demigah Yeah his best stories are very emotionally driven, most of the good ones are more his struggles on the heart than the struggles of his fist but I'm glad to see you liking him more and more. Your voice acting was also good as well especially for this Superman that was trying to look strong but was at his most vulnerable since he considered himself a failure. Good stuff 👍🏾

Good one, though he had to ignore a few basic super powers, super hearing, super vision, to make it work. And I was honestly expecting him to be right in front of the shot after he pulled the trigger, destroy the gun and maybe let him off with a warning just this once, cause he's Superman.

Not 100% crazy about Tommy’s voice. (I always imagined Norm Macdonald) He sounds more like The Goon. But still this is great. There were rumors the Harley Quinn show was gonna have Tommy show up. Since she goes to Noonan’s. This story would be perfect for that new Superman cartoon that just came out. Maybe not a whole episode, but maybe a b plot. As a huge Hitman fan (if the username didn’t clue you in….) I appreciate more people are showing love to this series.

As much as I’m not a fan of Garth Ennis more… cynical tone. I can admit that he’s able to find some decent Hope within the cynicism this story is proof of that. The harsh reality no one not even a superhero like Superman can save everyone every time. It’s just a fact. But every life you are able to save is still a sign that good was done and more good can be done. Innovation comes out of tragedy and tragedy inspires us to rise up and be better.
the writer is not a superman author, so its understandable as to why he didn't realize how ridiculous superman's powers get, but i find it really funny the most human and relatable i find superman is in this comic when he quite literally is not a god who can do it all. This is why making your character super op doesn't write for good stories lmao
