I met Lorenzo back a couple years ago randomly. He had his 356 parked up at Ocean Beach where I enjoy going to during my visits to CA. I came up to him and chatted about his car. He told me about his adventures with the 356 in the video and all the other Porsches/cars he owned over the years. We talked for quite some time. He even let me sit in his 356 and I have a video of me going into it and the only thing I say is “wow”. Lorenzo is the real deal and I hope I can cross paths with him again.
In 1965, i had a 1961 356 sunroof, red with saddle interior. Till today I miss that jewel of a car. Now I drive a VW GTI it’s cool too. Loved your video and the car. Stay well ! RickGTI…
So enjoyed this piece. I had a '59 Normal, red like yours. Over the years, I had five 356's. All of them had great lives. In the mid 60's, there were very few in south of the USA. People thought it was a fiat. ha. Thanks for this film.
I hope you are still around Lorenzo. Back in the early 90's I did much the same with VW's so I had a car to get around. Buy - remove the good stuff - flip it. Love to hear it.
Great video ! and a stunning car... sounds like there are possibly 7 speedster owners out there thinking they have a totally original as it left the factory car.
yesss what a storytelling gift this whimsical man has. He's lucky he had y'all to encapsulate it in such a beautiful way. I look forward to seeing more Ean!!!
Sat. 1/20/23, 11:30 am, Lorenzo is here. He just drove into the OB pier parking lot. He's driving his 56' Beetle. Retractable sun roof. 1600 dual port, zenith carb. Shiny chrome New Tires. Fresh oil. Draws a crowd. Hot chick walks up, captures his attention, asks him for a ride. There they go. end of story.
I had the opportunity to meet Lorenzo on sunset cliffs about a month ago. I had my Yashica Mat LM and a few other film cameras. Chatted with him for about an hour and grabbed some portraits of him and his car. Wish I had grabbed his email to send them to him. Let me know if you can help me out!
Hey! It’s Harrison here, Lorenzo is a hero around those parts I’m glad you got the meet him, he’s there almost everyday if you’d want to show him. I’d also love to see the portraits of him as well, if you want you can email them to me at negative25prod@gmail.com
Coleman Calgary That’s what you think about after seeing this? 🙄 What’s he supposed to do huh? Film the odo turning over every time he hits 100k? Then you would just say he rolled back the odo each time. I suppose you also don’t believe he lost part of his brain in an accident because he didn’t show you the medical report. Or that his wife stole all his money because he didn’t show you a police report...

Stick with it boys ! Lorenzo knows what he's talking about! 🙏
I am “ sticking with it”. At 71 I coach skiing 3-4 days a week. I intend to keep on keeping on.
Lorenzo! I want to be a friend if you give Porsche's to all of them! LOL!
Great story and Great car.
What a clean and sick transition at 0:18
Lorenzo looks like actor John Noble. Miles = smiles. Dirty car = happy driver. This is the way.

Love it. I would like to know how he maintains it. What oil does he use and how often does he change it. How long between valve adjustments, etc.
Do you think 50 years from now there will be a video of someone who put 1,000,000 miles on a 2020 Panamera
Haha this is great

Just met this guy at sunset cliffs
he's known as the godfather of the cliffs, pretty badass right? (-:
That woman had no death certificate so how on earth did she steal all his assets?
Any REAL proof he did a million miles?
Coleman Calgary we should have filmed proof, but it’s true he’s put well over a million miles on her
Harrison Doyle he told you that? Anybody can say they put a million miles on their sounds like he is trying to steal fire from old blue!

@@overbuiltlimited if you have a head injury or lost a quarter of your brain you wouldn’t be driving anymore 🙄
