Love this video! I really appreciated how you compared all of the colors. It really helped me a lot, I'm a newbie and sometimes some of the samples I order look soooo different than what i expected or what the swatch looked like online. however, seeing them compared side by side like this is amazing! you really can see the different hues and which ones lean more red, or more blue etc. Thank you! :)

Mountain of Ink’s website is a good one for seeing comparisons, and Goulet Pens has a tool on their website called the Swab Shop where you can put ink samples side by side. My pen twinsie!!!!!! 😍😍😍 Somebody called my Woodshed pen a "calico" - and I think it's the perfect description because it looks like a calico cat. Anyway, that's what I'm calling mine.
Nice video, thank you for sharing. Test the Lady Rose in nib sizes you like, as my personal experience with it is that it’s not terribly legible in F or EF nibs, but great in a wet medium.
Thank you for the tip! I have traditionally preferred medium and broad nibs, but I’ve lately been enjoying more fine nibs. I’ll have to break out a good medium nib to start with, at least!
Thank you! Yes, the pen community will miss Mike at Woodshed for sure! I didn’t see his initial post explaining why he was not going to be making pens anymore. But I hope maybe one day he can come back to making pens. He does great work!
You should try Pelikan Brilliant Brown if you haven‘t yet… it might be what you‘re looking for. ;) My favorite brown at the moment is KWZ Cappuccino. Thanks for sharing, love the comparisons !
