I get my Dept 56 from a vendor on line and they usually have coupons but in the middle of the year all the coupons disappeared. I was told that the company did not want coupons, so I was not surprised to see the same with Lemax. The prices for both companies have gone up drastically. Lemax never had expensive pieces but they all have gone up. There was a trick or Treat Lane house but Dept 56 felt it did not fit in with the line. I believe it was called the Neon Demon House which sounds intense for Trick or Treat Lane. Dept 56 says two new village series that branch out from the Halloween series will be introduced in 2025. Not sure if the Harvest line is one of them, but Dept 56 seems to be expanding their series next year.

doug, we missed the live...me and ol lady have started watching you in recent years. we have kind of become village junkies. we appreciate the effort you put forth. with that said. what is the deal with lemax not really putting out any carnival games? got alot of rides but very little games it seems. There are a few that pop up on ebay like the skull toss, some tombstone one and a couple other ones but they are rare and very pricey. We got all the rides, got all the little food carts and food stations and witch's brew, rotton candy but NO GAMES? We just bought the tin can alley that is part of the regular carnival line from lemax and we were able to get the spooky town bowling.
Lemax has had a few non-spookytown games in recent years, but I believe only one Spookytown in 5 years or so. They definitely need to add some fresh ones.

I have to agree with oh boy. Pumpkin Motel is the sleeper this year. I think it is going to be more and more desired as the years go on. Its just an amazing piece and its only like $45 or $50. we just bought one. was thinking about buying 10 of them as i mentioned i think it will be a desired piece as the years go on.
Hi guys, Ryan mentioned the Dantes building next to the Gloom Room and I was the one who put that out there. I am beyond disappointed witht the size vs. Cost of the building. The only thing I can guess is that because it was in a miniature village display in the movie, Dept. 56 felt the need to make it tiny in real life, either way, it was not worth the money, despite the amazing details. That's the last Dept. 56 building I buy for that price point. Maybe the last one ever. The ONLY reason I bought it is because my grandson's name is Dante and now he's always a part of the display.... yes I know what the building was in The movie, regardless, he's now always a part of my village. I agree Fright Night was the best building of the year and pretty much the only one I bought from Michaels.
All good to see the Villages idoits i missed it live becauase of work ! Because I'm selling out the hobby with both my Spookytown and Xmas stuff I never went to Micheals this year so not seeing the buidling in person for me is hard I haven't even decorated and its Sept ! my wife keep ask me are you ok ??? and she never been a village supporter for the last 25 ys she never been a fan of spending money on it - and for her to be Wow ! your really done ! she still in shock .
One suggestion. I really think you guys need to pull up put up skills or photos of the pieces you’re looking at. Don’t assume everyone in the chat or that’s going to watch the video knows exactly what the pieces are. I’m not sure how hard it is to put a photo or video in for a live event but if there is a way to do that, it would be a lot better for someone like me who doesn’t know all the pieces just picture up there while you’re talking about huge.
Yeah that’s my bad on that! Ryan mentioned I should do it before we went on but I thought we’d be bouncing around topics fast enough it probably wouldn’t be needed- again, my mistake! Will fix that going forward
@@SpookyVillages no don’t beat yourself up over it buddy. It’s not the end of the world I can use Google just fine lol. You’re putting out a good content and that’s all that matters. If you were able to next time, throw a image up there it helps
Re beetlejuice.. the dept 56 beetlejuice figure looks super lame… disappointed. Was able to order a 3d printed beetlejuice sitting on a grave stone.. i hand painted it and looks epic in my graveyard…

I actually love that piece, even though it is on the small side. If you're a Disney fan, it blends perfectly with Mickey's Pumpkin Town.

It's such a unique piece, but screams Spookytown. It's great for the folks that don't like the more "scary" pieces.
