Buying this very show on video way back in my distant past (best not say what other videos i saw that advertised it!) was the first time i saw Lilly, and while i never did get to see her live (i worked a lot of nights in those days) I've been a fan ever since.
I remember seeing his years and years ago when this first came out on video. I was only a teenager, but loved this so much. He really was brilliant as Lily, able to be far more rude than he could ever be as Paul O'Grady.
I had this on dvd lol but i remember even earlier than that in the 90s one day my mum came home and shed been doing her nosey round one of the charity shops and came upon a VHS copy of the live show in Edinburgh I can't have been even 12 but she knew.... if you know what I mean 😂 cos mothers always know ❤
It’s called performance, you bigot. A drag act is an act. It’s an alter ego. Someone playing a character. So do one with your bigotry. You live your life by some ancient book of hate then make sure you read it all. Because it says only God is allowed to judge and to not hate. As for genuine transgender people, tell God not to let souls get born in the wrong bodies and then everyone will be happy.
