I mean, I think we all felt relief when we saw the message pop up: "Elizabeth can take care of herself". And indeed she can. Better than I took care of Booker, at any rate. :p
Quirrel is my guy. He often waxed philosophical throughout the game but during the fight against Uumuu in Monomon's Teacher Archives, he was the one to actually have the strength to pierce through that monster's shields so the player could kill it off.
So we have no Black Iron Tarkus from Dark Souls? He could literally kill the Iron Golem without us! Edit: wow i did not realize so many had the same idea!
It almost happened to me to. But to answer your question: Tarkus is that damn awesome he has to be mentioned, even if dozens of people already did so. ;)
I have a few npcs that should've been on here. 1. Cloth: Cloth is an npc from hollow knight and doing the right things, she kills the traitor lord for you at the expense of her life. 2. Quirrel: Quirrel is also from hollow knight and helps you in the fight against the jellyfish creature uumuu. Uumuu can't be damaged until Quirrel attacks. 3. Basically all the npcs in A Hat in Time: Enough said. They all help you in the final boss fight.
Barbas from Elder Scroll Skyrim killed so many enemies that I felt like a side kick during the quest. PS: Barbas was not a warrior, it was a talking dog.
The most notable one for me is the first one I remember doing something of the kind: the Prince of the Darkworld in Genesis Wonderboy in monster world. Wonderboy was getting the butt kicked before this guy came in destroyed the armor of Biomeka. Dark Prince even taunt Wonderboy something like "great hero you are, is this all you can do?"
@@3rdRateGamer Absolutely. I Think in the Godseeker dlc you have to fight Uumuu all by yourself, they may move slower, but Quirrel's armor piercing attacks sure would have been a sight better than the new summoning trick the boss pulls.
Well tbh with sharp shadow the traitor lord is pretty easy, and cloth’s quest is completely optional, and so is the boss you are fighting since you can beat the game without fighting the traitor lord, but quirrel does help and also make the fight against Uumuu possible. Unless you are in godmaster but still.
Thanks to Luke, the concept of "going absolutely ham" has now entered my daily lexicon. My day job is in administration, so it'll be a challenge to get much use out of it, but I'm determined to try.
What about Sergeant Johnson in Halo 2, you can't even damage Tartarus in the final level of the game without him shooting Beam Rifle shots at the Brute.
In Kid Icarus: Uprising, if you take too long in chapter 3's air battle against Hewdraw Palutena will kill it for you. And then you get help from Dark Pit in chapter 21 and Magnus in chapter 2. With so much NPC help, it's strange it wasn't even mentioned.
@@JuggernautGeo Even without NPCs the is easy compared to soulsborne. They should have put less time into the character creator and more time in the actual game.
HUGE SPOILERS FOR OKAMI I'd have to say LITERALLY EVERYONE in okami, at the beginning of the final boss fight waka protects ammy from a deadly blow, then when the Lord of darkness seems beat he destroys all of ammy's powers but issun using his artwork and a heartwarming speech convinces everyone you've met on your journey to pray, powering you up immensely and allowing you to win the battle
All of the Divine Beasts in Breath of the Wild, and specifically Mipha and Darunia's abilities, assuming you didn't just rock on up to calamity ganon simply because you could right out of the gate. Also, Barbas from Skyrim if you just never complete his questline. Immortal dog. That's all I have to say on the matter.
Similar to the Persona 4 entry, everyone you've met so far helps you in Earthbound. Giygas's final phase is only vulnerable to prayers from story characters after Paula prays and they remember you.
When I saw Persona 4 on the list, I was expecting Teddie from the fight against Shadow Rise where she analyzes all you moves so that you can't hit her, and then he just completely solos here with one huge surprise reflect move.
I know this video is old, but I feel there are two other instances worth saying in the same vein as the Persona entry. In the final boss fight of Paper Mario the Thousand Year Door every good npc you have met will chime in with their words of encouragement and make it so you can actually fight the big bad. Similarly, Fire Emblem Awakening's final boss has you hear from every unit you brought into the fight, allowing you to find the strength to break out of the spell you are under and get up and fight. While that might not be enough on it's own, if you strike the final blow in the fight then everyone still alive in your army will send their heartfelt appreciations out into the world, allowing for you to beat the deadly odds of your sacrifice and come back to fight another day

Fawkes completed half of Fallout 3 for me. He was great! Until the end, when he wouldn't go into the radiated chamber despite being immune to radiation...
And DLC to fix the problem was a bit late for my poor Fawkes following character....
Total dick move fawkes
"Yeah I'm immune to radiation but it's your destiny lol"
@@coyotearmory Yeah that annoyed the shit out of me, lol
Just an excuse by the devs, clearly.
I can't believe you forgot all the friend from the underground in undertale. If you do the pacifist run, the souls will save you from flowey's horrible nightmare form. And if you do the true pacifist run, all your friends will come to stop you from fighting asgore and will try to protect you from floweys attacks once he shows up to kill you and take your soul ( you need to save them again later from asriel dreemuee but okay).
But without all those friends we would never have been able to defeat flowey/asriel dreemurr.

ITS SO SWEET
A literal butterfinger candy ad played right before luke says ‘butterfingers’ 😂
Butterfingers have ads?
I feel like Roxas from KH3 should be on here for the Saix fight. Literally immune to damage and can do the entire fight by himself.
I never knew Roxas was invulnerable in that fight! At the time I was just franticly dodging and sneaking in whatever hits I could, with the occasional glance to make sure that my party members didn't need healing... It was only after I beat Xehanort and started from the beginning that I actually Got Good and learned stuff like the arrows on the left can change your equipped Keyblade or that you can turn the Pirate Ship command thing...
Was going to mention Tarkus, but I see chat has that one covered.
I know that baby Metroid gets mentioned a lot, but I feel that it needs repeating as it not only saves your keister when fight Mother Brain ( at the cost to its own life), it also saves you from death by X parasite. In a game it didn’t even appear in.
Is no one gonna bring up the fact that AI-controlled Roxas can defeat Saix all on his own without any of Sora's help in Kingdom Hearts III?
Came to the comments just for this.
He does come from to Keyblade Wielders that have done much (Sora + Ventus).
I was waiting for this comment
My immediate thought.
Makes sense. He did beat Saïx in 358/2 Days.
Skyrim: The first dragon you are supposed to actually fight can mostly be left to the guards. And later, when fighting Alduin, the warriors in Sovngard can take him down as long as you occasionally shout at the might dragon to keep him grounded.
Yep, especially Irileth (the Housecarl to the Jarl), she does tons of damage to that thing. If you have mods making the dragons actually hard you notice that maaaaybe she's carrying you a bit there even more (she's fire resistant due to racial stats and also unkillable)...
Okami: Past Amaterasu can beat Lechtu and Nechtu without your interference.
Your fucking past strong self beats up the owls for you and then dies. Like...damn.
Thanks for the tip! I’m playing through it again recently!
Cheeseburger and Peaches from Far Cry 5. You may be an elite cult armed to the teeth but I HAVE A BEAR AND A COUGAR!
They should have had their own DLC, that's how badass they are!
My friend used that combo for stealth,he wouldn't even mark them all he would just send them in and hide behind a rock for awhile.
Who are both armed WITH teeth!
Blasphemer!
You mean the skinny not dog and the fat not dog?
@@johnsansker7064 actually bears are in the k9 family and are very closely related to dogs,so i think you mean the skinny not dog and the fat almost dog
Am I mistaken here or are we forgeting Martin Septim finishing off Mehrunes Dagon as an dragon avatar of Akatosh, while the Hero of Kvatch just kind of stands there watching.
He was the hero there, not you. There was nothing you could have done.
What about Kingdom Hearts 3? In the battle against Saïx, Roxas basically manhandled him
Exactly, you could sit down and watch the whole fight, or go grab something to eat if you were hungry.
Really surprised to see Persona 4 final boss here, instead of the scene where Teddy kicks Shadow Rise’s ass all by himself after the team you were playing got owned.
It would have worked better with the theme of the video.
Elizabeth seems to go around drowning everyone she likes.
Solaire of Astora carried my shrivelled, pathetic body throughout the entirety of Dark Souls. After getting smashed by a boss my immediate priority was to find the 'brilliant aura' of his summon sign.
I was nearly a wreck after having to kill him when he was infected by the sunlight maggot, but on my second playthrough I kept him alive and we brought down Gwyn together.
Boone from New Vegas, you’re lucky if you can even get a kill in with him blasting heads left and right lol
He is definitely the reason they added companion kill xp to new vegas
Dude yes
Ah yes, cottonwood cove. Its nothing but a shooting range for boones equipped with anti-materiel rifle.
I kept thinking “what about liberty prime from fallout” throughout this video because I mean you can like walk behind him and do nothing and still get through.
You mean there's an option to not just follow the murder robot?
Matthew Stone i mean if you want you can *try* to score some kills, but thats a pretty difficult challenge
@@CryptidValentine I thought it was more fun to watch the carnage. Get some popcorn, nice sofa. The works.
Matthew Stone Well thats pretty much inevitable if you have a Melee character. definitely a time to just sit back and let Liberty prime and the brotherhood do the work
@@CryptidValentine It wasn't a melee character though. lol I was just all "Lert's not shoot the death robot and piss it off..." Was unaware it was literally invincible. It's immune to /kill AND /disable.
The Legendary Dogs in Pokémon Sword and Shield. There you are fighting a huge interdimensional dark dragon together with your rival, with your moves having no effect...until in come the two Legendary Pokémon who not only join the fray, but also react with the two items you and your rival have acquired to unlock their ultimate forms, which have attacks specifically made to destroy said final boss.
So true sword and shield are super good games
9:24 Hey! That CLEARLY Wasn't his Fault!
Please can we have Ellen's new catchphrase be:
"NANO-MACHINES SON!" 😋
That explains why she’s so short. She’s just the shell.
I'm still a giant fan of "That's Freaky Deaky!"
That's Freaky Deaky for life!
Parcel Form hey she’s short, but cute asf
The end of Super Metroid when the Baby Metroid saves Samus and gives you the rainbow beam to one shot Mother Brain
18:04
i love how he says "look out" and then dropkicks you
I hope I'm allowed to do suggestions but how about 7 times when you're totally winning a boss fight but the cutscene afterwards disagrees
So we have no Black Iron Tarkus from Dark Souls?
He could literally kill the Iron Golem without us!
Edit: wow i did not realize so many had the same idea!
It almost happened to me to. But to answer your question:
Tarkus is that damn awesome he has to be mentioned, even if dozens of people already did so.
Same goes for quite a few Rune Factory games. Teamwork makes the dream work
Cloth is completely useless, she may not even appear for the boss fight and when she does she can barely land a hit before dying.
Me: Buys Sekiro three days ago
Oxtra: Shows that god damn drunkard boss
Me: SEVERE SUDDEN BLOOD PRESSURE SPIKE
Are we forgetting about how Hercules was the main reason Sora could stop Hades in Kingdom Hearts 2? Or how we needed Tron's help to delete the MCP?
TRON is the ultimate example for this list's topic - he always fights for the users, after all.
where the heck is tarkus? you don't even need the "pretty much" he outright kills iron golem for you.
1:12 When the NPC finishes the fight for you in about a split second.
You forgot Silver Sable from Spiderman PS4. During the final fight with HammerHead, she provides needed ammo and delivers the final blow
How about Cloth from Hollow Knight? If you've talked to her enough times and reach the Traitor Lord, she'll help you out, one warrior to another.
old comment but i wanna piggyback off of this by also suggesting: Quirrel during the Uumuu fight
@@3rdRateGamer Absolutely. I Think in the Godseeker dlc you have to fight Uumuu all by yourself, they may move slower, but Quirrel's armor piercing attacks sure would have been a sight better than the new summoning trick the boss pulls.
YES HOW COULD THEY NOT INCLUDE HER AND QUIRREL
Well tbh with sharp shadow the traitor lord is pretty easy, and cloth’s quest is completely optional, and so is the boss you are fighting since you can beat the game without fighting the traitor lord, but quirrel does help and also make the fight against Uumuu possible. Unless you are in godmaster but still.
Quirrel helps you defeat Uumuu so...
Fun fact: you can squeeze a banshee into that boss room and win super easy! Just shoot him until he stops moving!
I agree. And what about Halo 3? He gives you a Spartan Laser in the battle with Guilty Spark
@@KaiserZERO good point, but that's more "Here's a Spartan Laser, kill that light bulb." than a full boss fight...
@@Draeckon yeah, I've done it... multiple times.

Don’t forget about killing booker/com stock with a big daddy
"After an awkward initial meeting in which she tries to kill you with books..."
This rings so true for me. It's why I don't go to libraries anymore.
Where's Roxas from Kingdom Hearts 3? All you had to worry about was not dying while he took care of Saix
I wish I remember this, having done everything in that game.
Wasn’t there a similar fight with Riku doing this too?
What about Paula praying in the battle against Gigyas in Earthbound? Literally every NPC you encountered across the world comes to your aid.
8:04 "look out!" *Proceeds to drop kick protagonist outta the way* XD
18:04 lmao
Sergeant Johnson in Halo 2. During the battle against the brute chieftain, he took down the brute's shields long enough for me to get a few shots in.
Every time Luke wears his Isle Delfino shirt, I want one soo bad!
You forgot in Kingdom Hearts 3 during the Saix fight if you let Roxas do his thing he would win the fight for you
So right! He gets in one combo and does almost an entire HP bar!
Number 8: Literally everyone, Avengers: Endgame.
“Raiden’s buddy Sam” is definitely one way to put it
Louise from Code Vein
Most of the time he's the reason I even get through a level
Pretty much anyone from Code Vein is REALLY helpful. They're the reason people call the game ''too easy'''.
@@JuggernautGeo Even without NPCs the is easy compared to soulsborne. They should have put less time into the character creator and more time in the actual game.
@@lastbaumstanding1802 Look on the bright side, at least they wont have to create a new one for future games because this one is pretty damn good.
Really? In CODE VEIN it's Io and Yakumo that are really strong, it's possible to just constantly guard and let them do the hard work.
Christian McNamara I can relate with that
HUGE SPOILERS FOR OKAMI
I'd have to say LITERALLY EVERYONE in okami, at the beginning of the final boss fight waka protects ammy from a deadly blow, then when the Lord of darkness seems beat he destroys all of ammy's powers but issun using his artwork and a heartwarming speech convinces everyone you've met on your journey to pray, powering you up immensely and allowing you to win the battle
YESS! I LOVE THAT GAME!! Shame not many people have played it or even heard of it
The pawns from Dragons Dogma, the only companies I can't live with out
Yes!
My main pawn pretty much solo'ed Grigori
The perfect throwable projectile for any adventurer!
"Time for my secret weapon! You'll feel it in the morning!"
Lol
All of the Divine Beasts in Breath of the Wild, and specifically Mipha and Darunia's abilities, assuming you didn't just rock on up to calamity ganon simply because you could right out of the gate. Also, Barbas from Skyrim if you just never complete his questline. Immortal dog. That's all I have to say on the matter.
🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔🐔
They're far worse 🤪
Mipha and Darunia don't count. Links still the one doing the fighting. They just help
Similar to the Persona 4 entry, everyone you've met so far helps you in Earthbound. Giygas's final phase is only vulnerable to prayers from story characters after Paula prays and they remember you.
What about Solaire of Astora? If you do his questline and save him, he'll solo the final boss of the game.
When I saw Persona 4 on the list, I was expecting Teddie from the fight against Shadow Rise where she analyzes all you moves so that you can't hit her, and then he just completely solos here with one huge surprise reflect move.
Glad I wasn't the only one.
Yup, same here. Idk why they chose the final boss fight
I like how you play "it has to be this way" in bgm
I couldn't resist singing
And that little "nanomachines son" was beautiful
