    Love the video! I'm from Columbus, OH we never met but I've seen you around at the tank and casino a long time ago. Just wanted to say I really like your content over most other poker channels. I love you incorporate restaurant reviews into it. It just makes it show that there is more to playing poker then just the table. I hope to make a trip to Cali to see some family soon and I'll definitely check out some of your recommendations!
    Overall, I'm hoping your channel blows up because you deserve it and I can tell you work really hard on the videos

    Hey Yale!! Love your Vlogs; its quickly jumped to #1 in terms of poker!
    I don't like bugging people, but at the end of your Vids you always welcome questions so lets try it!
    I am an LA "grinder", ive been playing for 15+ years. My problem in the past was i would just play in spurts, whether it was a few sessions a week, or play for a couple of months straight and then quit-- I've always been a solid/winning player, but i never committed to it-- idk i always love poker when im CRAVING it of that makes sense, but i am always watching, studing it and keeping up with Theory and such. Anyhow, this year i've committed to it, and i am on a freaking heater at 5/5.
    My question was (if you dont mind), what do your tracked hourly ($$ and BB/100) look like at 5/10 SPECIFICALLY in LA rooms?-- and what is YOUR reccommended bankroll to jump to those games? An approximation is fine, i know its kinda personal-- but you said reach out lol (DM is fine also), and i have always struggled to find a poker mentor or someone i can ask questions to-- google is kinda vague and generalized. Appreciate it man, Love the channel!

    • @LiveKingPoker
      @LiveKingPoker  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Super common question and the answer is always it can’t be exactly answered. The issue is often how much are you winning and what’s your win rate over what sample??? Also, do you have separate roll for life and poker? The other issue is the level of stress Of playing full time vs part time aren’t remotely comparable. For this reason so many people have expectations they can relocate their part time win rate on a full time schedule. Anecdotally I can say that’s typically not a thing. Not sure what your current job is, but depending what that job is would probably be how I would make my decision to go full time or not. Low variance GTEED income is very very under rated from a quality of life point of view

    I love watching your VLOGs, your like the first pro that seems to embrace AK.
    Question - what is the proper bankroll to play 5-10?

    • @LiveKingPoker
      @LiveKingPoker  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks James. I think that depends on the following things:
      1. Do you have a Win Rate in the game? 2. are you co-mingling your life roll and your 5/10 roll?
      3. Are you in a more aggressive 5/10 or a more passive 5/10?
      4. Does the game have a mandatory straddle often?
      There are sooooo many factors and hard to say. Nobody really knows the answers to these questions exactly imo. It’s dependent on soooo many things and first foremost If you’re not a “winner” in the game it doesn’t matter. If yoh are the other 3 factors will play a big role imo in how much you need

    • @LiveKingPoker
      @LiveKingPoker  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I mean I can’t really speak to 800 BB eff poker, mostly because I don’t think the human mind can really comprehend what may or may not be correct. I can tell you anecdotally that Garrett doesn’t typically play 5-bets if my memory serves me right. He’s one of the few looks we get into super super deep stacked play like you describe vs someone who resembles anything we believe to be a good player. I think finding the proper bluffs this deep is damn near impossible for me to comprehend. So the answer is I don’t know, but if I play a call facing all 4 bets I know what my range looks like at least, whereas if I play a 5 bet I know I have AA andddd????

      I don’t know that it’s “bad” it’s fringe. Most people don’t think it is, I sort of thjnk it is. Plays great as an open, way less good as an iso, unless the limper is literally playing any 2 cards. People over estimate edges with suited connectors vs people who limp a more reasonable range and not just any 2 cards period. I didn’t say it but my assumption was the guy isn’t limping 53s etc
