My scrap yard has a bin for them. Not many people take the time out of the day to go out of their way to recycle accordingly. Sad! I don't mind doing it, it's the best for the environment!

Old, dried out leather can be revived by soaking in Murphy's Oil Soap in hot water, then rub down with saddle dressing.
