- Hello everyone, in today's video I'll be showing you how to crochet a mobile phone bag. It is a really easy pattern and friendly for beginners, please enjoy the tutorial 💖💖💖

such a beautiful pattern! i found the below notes useful when making my version, will add them below in case it helps anyone else out.
fyi. im 2 weeks into crocheting, so im not familiar with proper pattern writing yet!
*will refer to the main petal/shell shape design as 'shell' in the following.
♡ guide: ch/chain, dc/double crochet, fpdc/front post double crochet, sl st/slip stitch.
< picking up after 8:46 - tutorial ends and instructs you to repeat >
- sl st as per 5:57. ☆ remember do not finish the last stitch of the last shell when slip stitching (you should have two loops on your hook, leftover from the shell, at the start of the slip stitch). ☆
- follow with 5 ch. then, 1 dc into the same hole.
- locate the centre of the next shell. insert 1 dc, followed by 2 ch. then 1 dc (same hole).
repeat until end.

- sl st as per 7:09 (count 3 rows from the bottom right of the first triangle frame, sl st).
- follow with 1 ch.
- 1 fpdc into the first column (first column that aligns with the vertical chain row, refer to video for visual).
- into the first upside-down triangle on the left ▼, insert 3 dc, followed by 1 ch, then 3 dc.
- as per 7:55, 2 fpdc together - refer to video, i could not type this part to make more sense than the visual demonstration :(
repeat until end.
< at the end of the shell row, refer back to the start of these instructions until desired length is reached. >
once complete, scrub forward to 8:49.

WRITTEN PATTERN
{There can be mistakes as i am also a human :)}
Ch -> chain, st -> stitch, sts -> stitches, sc -> single crochet, dc -> double crochet, hdc -> half double crochet, fpdc -> front post double crochet, fpdc 2 tog -> front post double crochet 2 (sts) together, sl st -> slip stitch, sk -> skip
Ch 16
Ch 1
Round 1:
1. 15 sc,
2. 4 sc in last ch,
3. 14 sc,
4. 2 sc in last st (refer to the video if u have any problem, timestamp: 1:56)
5. Sl st into the next st (the first sc)
Round 2:
1. Ch 5 into the sl st,
2. dc in the same st,
3. sk 3 and dc the next st,
4. ch 2,
5. Dc the same st,
6. Repeat steps 3 and 4 until you reach the start of round 2,
7. Sl st into the 3rd st of the start of round 2.
Round 3:
1. Ch 1,
2. 1 fpdc,
3. 3 dc (into the loop type of thingy made in round 2; refer to the video if u have problems, timestamp: 3:50),
4. Ch 1,
5. 3 dc
Steps 3, 4, and 5 will be done in the same loop type of thingy; again, refer to the video if u are having problems.
6. 1 fpdc 2 tog
7. Repeat steps 3, 4, 5, and 6 until you reach the start of round 3,
8. 1 fpdc (dont get rid of all the three loops, instead get rid of only two and keep the rest two), sl st with the remaining two loops into the 2nd st of the starting sts of round 3,
9. Sl st in the next two sts, as well.
Round 4:
Repeat round 2.
Instead of skipping 3 sts, find the ch 1 of round 3 in the petal thingys and make the dc in them; timestamp: 6:34
Round 5:
Repeat round 3, as is.
Round 6:
Repeat round 4.
Round 7:
Repeat Round 3.
Round 8:
Repeat Round 4.
Round 9:
Repeat Round 3.
Round 10:
Repeat Round 4.
Round 11:
Repeat Round 3.
Round 12:
Repeat Round 4.
Round 13:
Repeat Round 3.
Strap: 8:50
1. Ch 1,
2. 1 hdc in same st,
3. Ch 2,
4. Hdc into the back bump of the first hdc (refer to the video, timestamp 9:06)
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 until you reach the length of 100 cm or as much as you require.
6. Sl st into the opposite side of the start of the strap (fold the bag in half to find the exact opposite) (refer to the video, timestamp 9:30)
7. Sl st in the next st, as well
8. Ch 1
Cut the yarn and pull the loop.
Weave the yarn through sts to secure it and have a neat finish.
And you're done
I recommend that you put the playback speed of the video to 0.5x when referring to the video for better view and understanding.

I wish u could explain by rows like for eg.
1st row. Start with 15 chains
2nd row make 2 chain 1 DC in each chain end with last DC in last chain turn
3rd row begin with 3 ch now 2 SC in each DC nand so on it would be very helpful just a suggestion because your patterns are beautiful love from south Africa

It's flag pole double crochet.. which means a dc done across another dc rather than on top of it like usual.
