It's a great bike. Power, gear box , and weight are all slight improvements. What's special is the Tech (which may appeal to some) and also the handling. The bike handles really well and the Brakes and magnificent. Significantly smaller and very nimble. Didn't test it off-road but with the weight, I think it will handle really well. In my opinion, it's a whole new bike. It loves to be revved and it just wants to go! To me, it's a Sports Adventure Tourer. Confidence inspiring and will also appeal to a new demographic as the bike is much lower than the GS1250 and GSA1250 with the Adaptive Ride Height Adjustment! Thank you for your support mate.
Hey Gurby - was fun being your Wingman for the testing and review of the 1300 GS. With this variant BMW didn't take the easy option but instead made a sportier, lighter and lower adventure tourer that will appeal to a broader demographic of rider - nice one BMW! 👍
I must thank you Graham. Your assistance and input is greatly appreciated. It was indeed a super fun day and you are absolutely spot on about the R1300GS. Nice one BMW!
Hi sir. nice 1st review of a stunning bike .would you be tempted. Your 1250 is fantastic and setup to suit you .also it's big money. I understand your paying for quality but is it worth the change yet. Looking forward to part 2 ..thank you old dave uk
Hi Dave. Indeed a beautiful machine. Not something I will need at this stage as I am really enjoying my GS1250 Adventure. Maybe when the 1300GSA comes out, I may consider depending on how it goes! BMW makes exceptionally good quality bikes and they are all confidence-inspiring machines. The R1300 is no different. It's a great bike. Power, gear box , and weight are all slight improvements. Hi, It comes as standard with the Triple Black Variant. You have the option to spec up the bike to your liking. The Triple Black Version come with an Electronic Windscreen, Adaptive Ride Height Adjustment, an Electronic Centre stand, and adaptive cruise control. I would personally go for the Rallye Variant (which comes with crash bars, handlebar risers, signal lights that are not mounted on crash guards, skid plate, and off-road tires) and then add on the ride height adjustment. The triple Black will also work but you will need to install crash bars and change the tyres.

Hi Gurbaksh, is the adaptive height suspension standard or an optional upgrade. Also, what variant would you recommend for the occasional off roading?

Indeed a great bike. For me this is a crossover between Sport Touring and Adventure Touring
I agree 👍🏻
Very interesting.
Thank you 😊
It sounds like a diesel tractor..!! Not for me…
Fair enough 😜 but it has character!
