For everyone asking why this wasn't in the direct, Blizzard wanted to announce it in their own event showcase first at Blizzcon, which just happened to be today, right after the direct.
@@googamp32 Nintendo clearly said that the Direct was going to focus on Smash and releases until the middle of the year. And that was what happened. I still do not understand how you are not informed and how you are so naive that you think that Metroid, Bayonetta 3, Breath of the Wild 2 and the Zelda games were going to come out before June or July. Nintendo informed them that the Direct was going to be dealt with, but you do laugh for being misinformed.

Yeah, people played Diablo 1, but it’s Diablo 2 where people gets addicted. D2 is a great game. It will still be better if we just wait and see how it turned out first (we don’t want another Warcraft 3 Reforged), but people are pretty enthusiastic about this one.
2 is the best in series despite 3 having smoother gameplay to some. And hopefully 4 goes the direction of 2. But yeah, if you never played Diablo, this remake will be the best jumping-in point.

If everyone requests 8 players co-op support for all platforms, they could be more likely to include it. 8 players co-op sets Diablo II even further above the competition. the more the merrier. Serious Sam Collection supports 16 players co-op on consoles.
I still have my original pc copy of this with the lords of destruction expansion, and damn this is great it's coming to the switch! The port of Diablo III was solid and I can't wait for this too! This would be great on the go and for younger gamers that want to play the best of the three that never have!
I still have no faith in Blizzard. The possibility of it being a repeat of Warcraft 3 Reforged is still there, so as much as I love Diablo 2, I'm going to wait for the user reviews for this one before getting it.

I remember pre-ordering this back in the day. I was the first one to plop money down on this at my EB Games. It came out in the summer and I had to help put a new roof on my shed. I was able to take that day off to play it. Good times.

@@rendelldraw The NST trilogy was bad, because it ruined the precision platforming by adding a pill-shaped hitbox to Crash, making an already difficult series borderline impossible a lot of the time, but even if that weren't the case, these are not the same developers. Just because it's all Activision doesn't mean it all gets the same treatment. WC3:R was a lazy cash grab at worst and a disappointment at best. And that's one of Blizzard's main IPs. Diablo will likely have a similar result unless they take it seriously this time and I'm not convinced they will.
Oh man, this looks so good Some of my best memories gaming as a kid were with diablo 2 on PC I pirated the game so many times, I'll definitely be buying it this time!
