    Thanks so much for the helpful video!
    I have a mechanism that appears to take two $1 coins and three 25¢ coins. I tried switching four of the five slots to accept $1 coins (leaving the middle one blank). The coins fit the slots and go through the first "gate" but then get stuck on the ridge inside and won't push any further. Any advice, or am i going to end up purchasing new mechanisms all together?

    Hi im from Australia and I was going to buy a machine that has one of these from USA but I was wondering because Australia doesn't have 25c coins what coin could substitute for it ?

      Hello and thanks for watching my videos. This is going to be a tough one, the 25 cents coins from Canada is almost exactly as the one in the US and this apparatus is still rejects the Canadian quarters. You probably going to have to take the coin mechanism to somebody in Australia and make them suitable to be used with the coins used there. Again thanks for watching my videos

    Can it be changed so that the item is free? Thinking for an art gallery exhibit use.

      Hey thanks for watching my videos, yes you can, but you will have to buy the plastic clips shown on minute 2;55 of the video and cover all slots, then it would work for free.

    Mine has little things covering the slot the coins would go in. Do you know how to remove those too?

      Hello, sorry for my ignorance but I do not quite understand your question. Can you be more specific about the virtual 5?

      @@TIPSFORDUMMIES I have an older machine I'm trying to refurbished, so I was wondering what's the best stripper or polish for the coin slot mechanism the steel wool it go hard with some sandpaper

    • @TIPSFORDUMMIES
      @TIPSFORDUMMIES  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@TheNellyCash If the mechanism is rusted, I would use a rust remover from Home Depot, it comes in spray bottle and it works great, you spray the liquid on it, leave it there for a couple of hours, perhaps a little bit more time, rinse with water and the rust will be gone, then I would use an 800 grid water sand paper to remove hard metal finish and last i will polish it with a 3000 grid water sand paper. Hey thanks again for watching my videos. Oh please don't use steel wool, you will leave marks all over
