    Your enthusiasm, knowledge but willing to learn really gets me involved in the video and its content. It's the old saying, you never stop learning especially on something you enjoy.
    2 things that I made this video special to me is the fact I've been there previously but now have a new reason to visit. One of my favourite photos is of the fox population in the Inari. And my set of the Kyoto photos are so special to me.
    And the other is seeing, at 1:56, the car that has stolen my heart and is now my daily (on the right 😂). Seeing the WRX STI in its home county looking so resplendent haha!

    I did this trail accidentally back in 2019. It was my first visit to Fushimi Inari and the main path up with all the gates was absolutely packed with tourists. I stumbled across the entrance to the trail and decided to follow it up to the top. It was a very happy accident because the forest scenery and hidden shrines were beautiful and there were so few other people on the trail that it was probably the most alone (in a good way) I felt on the entire trip. By the time I made it to the top, most of the crowds had cleared out and I could take my time going back down through the popular Torii gate path, so I still got to experience that, too. Ultimately it turned out to be one of my favourite days of the whole trip. Couldn't recommend doing this more. But spiders... oh, the spiders... if you're arachnophobic at all, be warned (not an issue here, fortunately, but they're everywhere and huge).

    • @denizday7785
      @denizday7785 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      This may not be helpful for you, but whenever I walk a trail with lots of spider webs, I try to find a stick with a few branches to wave in front of my face as I walk like a magic wand. It probably looks weird (not that there are many people around on webby trails to judge), but it cuts down on spider webs in your face by at least 90%!

    This video calms my anxiety. I’ve always loved forests. I take it as a sign to plan a visit! Thank you.

    Theres a path near Mt Hiei called Yase path of Maple. Its absolutely stunning especially in Aki (fall). You should hike it, all the way up to Hieizan. I just love Kyoto so much!

    When I visited the 1000 Gates, I followed an arrowed sign behind a shrine that said Mt. Inari. It lead me through the bamboo forest, past homes and shrines, to a lookout followed by the unmarked top of the mountain. Occasionally I would pass people who I believe lived on the mountain who appeared to be coming home from work. It felt like an intense hike to me, so I was amazed by people who hiked the path as part of their daily commute. I thought the area was pretty isolated…until I heard the cheers from a soccer match taking place on the other side of the mountain.😁 It was only once I made my way back to the Fushimi Inari Shrine that I realized there was an official path for visitors to climb Mt. Inari. 😂🤦‍♀️ Thanks for the video…it’s left a big smile on my face as I remember that day.😁

    Just read an article in the Japan Times about Kei Ito who is refurbishing the Ito Shinzo trail linking Toyama and Nagano prefectures and thought of you. Got home from my walk and got this video. Perfect timing. Check it out cause I know you don’t have enough adventures planned!!!! Thanks for the fun.

    YES 🙌🏻 I LOVE FUSHIMI INARI TOO 😭 no matter how many people say that you can find similar one in other parts of japan, Fushimi Inari has that special ambience, especially if you go early in the morning. When the morning sun hits some parts of its area, it’s just so beautiful and peaceful

    Fellow Canadiab here. Love this video. Discovered your channel recently and greatly enjoying binging all your videos. Your excitement is infectious and it makes my life long desire to visit Japan increase exponentially. Random question, what coat are you wearing in this video? I love all the pockets.

    I'm sold ont his trip. I'm gonna save for it now. This is exactly what I'm currently looking for in Japan : just walks and hikes with so many beautiful sightings and spiritual connections.
    Also love the hiking boots ! I have the exact same. 10/10 would recommend.

    Proper adventure. Looks like perfect hiking weather. Exploring is more fun on foot, and better for you. Right side,right leg. Better remember that
