  • Silent Pool Mansion is quite a large property & on entering into a really nice sun room I thought that this was possibly an upmarket care home, but venturing deeper into the other rooms it was clearly not. The elderly couple who lived here sadly both passed away around two years ago in 2018.
Left unprotected like so many buildings it has quickly deteriorated due to vandalism and some water ingress. but mostly the trashers of which their raison d'être eludes me.
Apart from the damage I really enjoyed the house & lovely grounds & hopefully it will be saved & become a loving family home once again. lots left behind to enjoy even though some items have been moved or walked off into the night.
Thanks for watching & I hope you enjoy the explore. It's rather a long one, so maybe break it down into a few visits. Keep Safe Everyone!

It's good that you're respectful. What was interesting was viewing such opulence after falling into disrepair. I can imagine the parties they had in their prime, then the gradual decline as they aged. The weeks, months, seasons, years passing ever quicker. There's a sadness in that.

Thanks for viewing & commenting so eloquently. I appreciate your words of wisdom. I can vouch that the dance floor was well used. & this year's passing quicker than most. Reason I enjoy exploring so much is the time seems to stand still, but on leaving, hours has passed in minutes. keep safe!

Great find mate, shame it was so trashed though. To have 2 safes that size in the house there must have been some good stuff inside of them at one point. . . . . . . . . . Thanks for the walk around:)

Happy to find it a secluded peaceful location & then gutted to find it in that state, only a few months ago it was mint, just some water damage. never good to arrive late. Thanks for checking it out & safe exploring.

1:08:14 Your selection of stills set to music is one of the near tear inducing moments in your videos. Love them, even though they are going to make me feel sad.

It's sometimes very hard to stay detached while exploring & putting together reflections on past lives, but hey on a positive note, full long lives spent with family happiness, success in business & so on....time waits for no man....or woman come to that. Thanks for viewing/commenting.

beautiful, though half way through, I find myself obsessing over the whyfor's of the uglification of the doors with the screwed in place glass plates. Ty for showing the loving card from Lilian. Best to u, Alafare

I saw this when it was first abandoned, it was a care home in the end, after being a private home, the indoor pool was divided in half to make room for a larger dining area, the trap door in the dining room was lifted, and the tiles from the pool were still there, the bedrooms all had many mattresses in them, and when I first saw it the condition was much better. I heard it was stuck in probate, and no family member was allowed in to it. Of course what I heard could be wrong, I have no proof, I wonder if it could be saved now. It was called silent lake mansion.

So sad and interesting to see, simultaneously. What happened to the family I wonder. And if one can salvage the family photos that no doubt the next generation will want to be not lost forever. Why a "Strong Room"? All the Best! DE W8LV BILL

o, not a care home..too many connections to the people who lived there..and tne family pics. I do wish I could understand what he is saying..but whi ever tore walls out and floors..it is unusual, unless tney were searching for something rumored to be there. You can see they had family..and money...the family are so rich...they did not eed to mess with this place!
