I'm crying myself to sleep for a pregnancy my wife ended at 1week. Keep asking myself why was that, what I could have done different for my wife to have kept it. I've never felt so heartbroken in my life. What gets my even more is my son asking me why he can't have a brother or a sister, he's a very caring person, shares everything no problem. If I was not deserving for a second, he sure is diserving a sibling. I wish you guys all the best! God bless!

@brumfed10 I think "forcing" is another very unfair use of the language - and again - usually against men. 🥺
If, in the vast majority of cases, a life is conceived in consensual circumstances, calling women to carry to term is not forcing anything. It's calling them (and their partners) to take responsibility *at least* until the child is born. Unless the woman's life is in danger, in which case, I support termination being offered.

When she is left with both parenting roles and the sole financial burden. When the child is sent to daycare as early as day 30 to be looked after by strangers because the mom has to work and has no support. That is incredibly sad to me as well, but rarely do people sob for struggling single mothers

As a father who never got to meet his children, my heart goes out to you brother. I lost my 2 girls when the woman I loved more than anything had a miscarriage at 6 months. I was at work when I got the call from her sister who drove her to the hospital. When I got there, I held her in my arms as she cried. I tried my best to be strong for her and to help her any way I could. Three months later, she passed away from grief. She appeared to be getting better, she was smiling again. I thought she was ok, so I went to work that day. Later, I got a call from her sister who came to stay with her while I was at work and she said that she was gone. She had went to go lay down to take a nap and when her sister went to check on her, she wasn't breathing. At the hospital, doctor's told me it was possibly a heart attack. When I told them she had a miscarriage 3 months ago, the looks on their faces changed. They said that "she more than likely just went to sleep." They explained to me that dying of heartbreak/grief is not uncommon but that it's not quite rare either. The pain I feel every day not having her here anymore, and the pain I felt when we lost our girls, I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy. We lost our girls December 17th, 2017. She passed away March 7th, 2018. I'm almost 32 and I haven't loved someone the same way I loved her. I fell into a deep depression after losing her. In May of 2019, I got my cat when she was a tiny kitten, 7 weeks old. I found her in a parking lot all alone and scared. I took her in and she saved my life. I named her Ellie after both of my daughters, who were gonna be named Eleanor and Elizabeth.
I didn't mean to make this as long as it turned out. But I understand this man's pain of losing a child. It's hard and I wouldn't wish that pain on anyone.
The only greater pain is when I lost the love of my life. We were together 3 and a half years before she passed. Aside from losing our girls, they were the best years of my life and those are memories I wouldn't trade for anything. She showed me what true love is and it's something you can't really explain. You can just feel it.
I love you, Nora. And I always will.

I'm so sorry for your loss. You are not alone, my dear.
When I got pregnant with our first daughter, I was told that if I didn't abort, the chances of us both dying were high. I refused. My little girl did not ask to be conceived. I felt that, as her mother, it was my unconditionally loving responsibility to give her the best chance at life that I could. So I did just that. Unfortunately, she did pass away later towards the end of the second trimester. I nearly went with her. I have no regrets. I'd do it again even if it killed me. I wouldn't have to even think about it.
      Sending you so much love...❤

*A friend of mine aborted her 6 month old child. Her boyfriend walked out on her and she was so overwhelmed. Her OBGYN pushed that abortion hard, and she went along with it. I begged her, pleaded with her for his life. I was a single mother of a 5 year old and a 1 year old baby at the time and I offered to adopt him. She refused and went ahead with the abortion. You don't know how much guilt I carry and HE wasn't my child and I wasn't carrying HIM. But, he will forever be etched into my heart and mind. Tristan, forgive me. I tried so very hard, I wish there was something more I could have said to your mother. You would be 25 years old now. I think about you all the time. Forgive me, please forgive me for not doing more. 😢

As a NICU RN that take care of ELBW babies we take children 22 weeks and up but the survival rate of these preemies is actually VERY low and even more so if we break it down further to gender and race … with love no preemie that young is “fully developed besides their lungs” … I say this to say it’s a reason why the doctor more than likely offered you the opportunity to hold your infant instead of resuscitate and neither decision is better than the other .. same with abortion

    • @trrulieeeee

i was still in the middle of my abusive family, couldn’t work due to ptsd, and was addicted to many substances. i couldn’t look at the sonogram. i wanted my baby, but i knew that he/she could end up dead or horrifically abused. i have a lot of adoption in my family and none of it worked out, so i wasn’t about to give my baby away either. i have a long history of medical trauma, and i was convinced ( for good reason) that i may die in childbirth, if not sooner. i was also struggling with seizures at the time, and my pregnancy prevented me from keeping anything down. i handled the hunger, the vomiting, the seizures, and the fainting, alone in my apartment, for weeks. i passed out in the kitchen trying to grab myself an apple, and when i passed out, i hit my head on the door hinge of the pantry. i was out for at least five hours, and what woke me up was a premonition of my parents looking at my naked, vomit covered body in absolute disgust. i’m pretty sure i almost died that day. i didn’t call 911, because i already had before and they just told me to go to my doctor (i can’t afford one).
am i proud of aborting my baby? not really. but i believe that god gives us some time to figure things out. that’s why 20% of pregnancies end in miscarriage. our bodies get a trial period ( the first trimester) and i believe that’s god allowing us to be in control of creation, which is something he clearly wants us to do by allowing us to create new people. there’s an obvious difference between medicinal and surgical abortion, and i think the longer we kid ourselves, the longer we’re going to be aborting actual babies. there’s a reason we call it a fetus. it’s not the same and it’s important to make that distinction because when you don’t, you put women in danger. it’s possible that only fetuses in the first trimester should even be called a fetus, but we’re all too busy virtue signaling to talk about that.

Care about what exactly? He had sex with someone that wasn't sure she wanted a baby . Did he use protection ? Was he gr*ped ? That would be a different case . What am I supposed to care about? They weren't forced to abort or to have sex . Is it sad that a father that wanted a child didn't get to have her ? Yes . But what's the solution according to him ? Forcing the woman to give birth ? And that doesn't violate anyone ? It's a situation where you have to put one person's wishes above the other . So whose wish are we going to honor ? The person that has the foetus inside her body or the person that doesn't ? Because in either situation the baby isn't choosing anything .
