Do you remember when you were young and people like Kenneth Williams, Lionel Blair, Bernie Winters and Diana Dors were on the telly and you wondered why these people were famous? And you saw they were in their declining years and a bit more wrinkled, but still had something. I never imagined this happening to the likes of Merton & co. I now occupy my parents' old position! I'll soon be lamenting that 'they've all died off now...'

What is stupid is that they hadn't made it illegal to not register until then. A lot of times here in America someone is known to be working for a foreign govt in some way and if it weren't for the FARA legislation the govt would just have to wait until they both acted and there was actual evidence for a case. With FARA there's a time limit on getting registered (and Americans have to register if they begin to work for/with a foreign govt - like Ron DeSantis's press secretary who worked for i think it was Georgia, the country obv not the state above FL lol) so this makes it possible to act before theyve harmed national interests or security.

I'm the last guy to give Boris credit..but as a person who played a lot of sport in school, I am almost certain he was falling. He ran his legs out from under him and was falling forward which is why he basically hit the guy with his head. Watch it a few times slower and I think many will agree. Not terribly important, just a thought. You can see a few panicked short steps, the hands were splayed or if anything he looked to be trying to go palms forward and stop himself of the fellas legs. Yeah, I've fallen like this before several times. Either going too fast and being topheavy, or your legs being exhausted or a combo of both.

I love Victoria Coren-Mitchell. But there was another delightful mind there. Emma Dabiri was a real pleasure for me. Especially when you consider she's the only person there who doesn't do it for the living all the friggin' time.
I'd be intimidated with that group.

I first became familiar with Josh when watching QI, back when it was more about interesting guests than popular guests, same as with Victoria. She belonged in a group of brainy people with culture and a love of learning, Josh obviously did not.

On the Dyson issue, can anyone of the panel explain why non-UK residents should come to the UK to help out in a crisis and then be subject to UK tax? Were British military personnel subject to Afghan or Iraqi taxes while resident in those countries allegedly to help them out in a crisis?

Was pleased that Victoria Coren was the host as I find her very entertaining and witty. Unfortunately this was about as amusing as root canal treatment. Gave up about ten minutes in.
Is there anything new I mean is there anything new are we being subtly mislead by all things that are meant to be entertaining. To me it appears so. Just look at the panel same old same old. And will there commentary ever make a difference.
Always a challenge to resist temptation on Friday’s and wait for the “bit more” versions on a Sunday. Always worth waiting for. Cheers!
