I'm right there with you! Before my father passed away he recorded the original movie on VHS and I watched it countless times before I bought the DVD and a friend gave me the complete series DVD box set. Beattlejuice has been a part of my life forever and it almost feels like a dream that we're getting a sequel and I will be able to enjoy it first on the big screen before I get it on Blu-ray
I love how its so old school. It looks like the original, same chessy effects same FX methods. Nothing fancy just simple movie making. Even what little CG they showed has a late 80s esrly 90s schlocky look to it. Its great to see!

I’m seeing the tour in a few weeks and I’m so excited. I think the musical would make a good movie adaptation because the story isn’t exactly the same.

Two things crossed my mind after seeing both the teaser and this trailer.
1. What happened to the ghost couple from the first movie?
2. If part of the movie has the people going to the other side, will they run into the father now grandfather? Either way this is going to be an amazing movie.
Given Jeffrey Jones's real world problems, we're not going to see him as the father/grandfather. But recall that the waiting room and "recently deceased" bureaucracy were for spirits that hadn't moved on yet/didn't know they were dead. So they can just give the excuse that he did move on.
Can I just say how this has EASILY become one of my FAVORITE channels!!! Keep up the great work guys and we need a live reaction video for this opening weekend so we can all geek out together 💜🤗🤗🤗🤗

The movie and the cartoon=intregal part of my childhood
i wonder does the witch voodoo doctor, the suicider miss universe, the seperate body lady, and the chains smoker ghost going to return on this second movie
It all looks to squeaky clean like a safe packaged product and feels like it's going to be void of the dry, dark and witty humour that was present in the first film. It looks disneyfied to me if I am honest.

I think it's pretty obvious from the trailer that William Dafoe and Monica Bellucci are the "bad guys" in this and Bettlejuice is going to wind up helping our living characters. Which works for me, and if the script is as good as everyone involved seems to think it is, it'll be a good one hopefully.
