I love this pattern I’m 13 and taught myself to crochet and this pattern is perfect!! I did my bobbles in white and the rest red and a really fluffy white for the brim it’s amazing thank you!!
Same here I am 14 and absolutely love it I will definitely be selling these at my craft fair, wonderful pattern. do you have any tips on how to make my own
I love this! I did mine in a bulky #5 yarn. I did my bobbles in a bright blue & the rest in white. It turned out so beautiful. Thanks for the awesome video!
Do you think if I made it your way, it would be large enough to put a newborn baby in it? My friend is having a December baby, and she wants an adorable Christmas stocking with a matching hat to put her newborn in for awesome baby photos.
💗THANK YOU💗 for showing me a heel pattern that I can do without messing it up!!! I’m pretty new and self taught, and your style of teaching is absolutely amazing! I wish we could post our finished stocking for each other to see. It’s after Christmas now, and I made 3 stockings. One for my sister, my boyfriend, and his cat lol so now it’s my turn for one! Mine is made of the velvet chenille in stripes of pink and mint green!
Oh gosh you're so kind! Thank you! And you can tag me if you post on Instagram! I love seeing pics of the finished pieces made by following ACC patterns!
I just fished mine!! I was so hesitant about the furry yarn but it is sooooo forgiving on a project like this!! It's such a great material for making the pompoms!! Thank you!!!
Hi Ashley! Girl you have made me so happy! I see this is an old tutorial but I just found you🥳 I am a 62 yrs old mother of 6 grown children and grandma of 10. I've been thinking about crocheting ALL of them a Christmas stocking this year. There's just too many of them to buy gifts for (I just can't afford it, being on a fixed income) I'm so glad I found you! This tutorial is great and easy to follow 👍🏽 I have tons of yarn in my stash but I have to buy the fur yarn. I have already made one stocking up to the section when the fur is attached. Now on to the next stocking 💪🏾 until the fur comes in. Must order the fur. Thanks for your tutorial. I have subscribed to your channel so I won't miss anything. Stay safe 🙏🏽
I just found your channel looking for an easy stocking to crochet. I hit the Jackpot with you. Your step by step instructions are Amazing!!! Thank you so much!❤️
Thank you so much! ❤️ Two weeks ago my daughter asked me to make three stockings and a Christmas tree skirt. We decided on retro velvet yarn. I've completed the first stocking up to the brim. I've never done a bobble Stitch before but you made it easy! Now I'm referring back to this video so that I can be certain I do the brim correctly. Merry Christmas, be well ❤️ You are living doll!
I just finished crocheting this Stocking for My Great Granddaughter Leilani, But I used 'Go For Faux" by Lion Brand Yarns in the color "Baked Alaska" because I made the Stocking in Red and I love the way it turned out! I really Love this pattern! Thanks for a great tutorial !
I'd consider myself a beginner, but found this pattern easy to follow. I absolutely love the end result, it's just gorgeous! Thank you so much for your brilliant tutorial x
Just about. I used big twist soft. It's a thicker #4, shows stiches well and has a little structure. Took a little less that one skein. And the fur only used about 1/3 of the skein. Size is great. I think I used one size bigger hook.
I am so excited for this! I wanted to make my kids their own stocking that they can have as something special from their childhood. This is perfect. Thank you!
It seems super big but it really isn't. When I started I thought it was going to be really big but it was absolutely perfect. I've made 4 of them. 1 green and Gold,1 Red white and blue, 1 dark green and 1 red. It's a perfect stocking.
Yay!!!! I’ve been so excited for this pattern to come out since I saw the sneak peek on your Instagram!!! Thnks for sharing girl! I love all your patterns 🥰 👍🏻👍🏻☺️
Thank you so much for this and the mini tutorials!!! I’m using them to make stockings for me, my fiancé and our dogs💕💕💕 can’t wait to use these for this holiday season and years to come!!
Came across this gorgeous tutorial I did one already it’s so gorgeous but your seam looks so straighter than mine whyyyy 😂 but it came out so beautiful thanks
I love this pattern so much ❤ the first one I made a couple years ago and still looks brand new. I made another one yesterday but was wondering if there is an alternative to the cuff if I have no faux fur on hand?
I’ve never crocheted but my hairdresser turned me on to this stocking. She made some for her family. It just looks overwhelming to me but maybe once I got going… And maybe some personal lessons.
I love this pattern, thank you I’ve made two and on my third. I don’t sell anything I make , ( I craft for therapeutic reasons ) but my daughter in law said she would like to buy one for them all. How much do you think I should sell them for ? I have no idea.
Do you have a video on making the cuff of the stocking in the ribbed style instead of the faux fur? If so can you guide me to where I can find that please?
Rookie Question!! For rows 7 - 10, after the 40th stitch am I inserting my hook into the 1st half double crochet + chain 1 to start row 8? I feel like yes? I started this last night and got to row 10 and I have 41 stitches..??? I think I inserted my hook not into the 1st half double crochet there for giving me that 41st stitch.. :( but practice makes perfect!!
I love this pattern!!! I'm not a pro crocheter! I made a mistake.. I got #4 yarn and accidentally #6 bulky faux fur... I had to make it work lol so instead of 42 stitches in row 43 I have 21 lol I skipped every other stitch.. I hope it works out in the end it looks ok right now I'm only on row 44.. if somebody can let me know if I'm on the right track before I get too far into it I would love it if there's a way other than what I'm doing to make it fit?? TIA!! LOVE!! LOVE this Christmas stocking!!! Edited to tag @A Crafty Concept 🙏🙏

Planing to make 5 of these. I dont want to buy to much yarn. About how much faux fur is left from that skain? Do you use the whole skain for one stalking?
Help!!! This is such a beautiful stocking, and I can’t wait to finish making them for my daughters. This is my first project and I’m very confused about ending one row and beginning the next. When I join into the first loop and chain, is that the first stitch out of the 40, or is the next half double crochet stitch 1/40? Also, does the first half double crochet of the row go into the same stitch I joined and chained on or the next stitch in the row? I have 20 bobbles and 20 single crochets in one row, then keep ending up with 39 in the next row, so I’m not sure where I’m messing up.

(I’ve only worked the bodies and not the cuff yet) -What is a pricing suggestion if I were to sell the finished product
Hi Lyndsey! Im so glad you like the pattern. I cant remember exactly how many stockings you can get with one skein of faux fur because it's been so long since I've made one of these. I usually have my priced for like 35.00 but you should price based on whats good for you, your business, and your ideal customer :) Also, id love to invite you to the Ash and Tay crochet FB group if you're on Facebook. There are about 7k folks over there are Super familiar with my patterns and most of them sell finished pieces too so they're really helpful when asking questions like this. facebook.com/groups/ashandtay

I finished one (minus the fur need to buy) and started the 2nd one and noticed when I compared that they faced backwards J instead of regular J. Anyone else have this issue? I would say I’m a fairly average crochet-er and have made several patterns before. I don’t know if it’s an error that I made or what. 🤷🏻♀️🤔
Hi Kim. You should price your items at a price point thats fair to you and fair to your ideal customer. Take into consideration your "why"... are you selling stockings to grow a full time crochet business? Or are you selling them as a hobby to help you pay for more yarn? These two "whys" are completely different and would result in two different price points. I would do some research on Etsy and see what other handmade stockings are going for as a starting point. But remember your business is as unique as you are and your prices will be too :D

Hi. The chain 1 doesnt count as a stitch. Your first stitch goes in the same space where you just joined. Hope that helps. If you need to slow down the video you can do that by clicking on the little gear icon and changing the playback speed.
Love this stocking!!! I really don’t like the feel of fur. Could you suggest something else for the brim? Looking forward to trying this for my kids stockings!
I used eyelash yarn and doubled it up. Just single crochet, chain three, single crochet, until the width/length you want.
By chance will you be designing a Boho Tree skirt for Christmas 2020????
Idk but thats a fun thought!! It would probably be super similar to the Crafty Boho Rug, but im seeing a faux fur border ;)
OHHHH! That would be fantastic ! Ill keep my eyes peeled 😁
Love this stocking :) you made it so simple to understand I was struggling with other tutorials, also do you happen to have a cable stitch version using the same weight yarn?? Many others use bulky instead of medium
HI! Im so gald you loved the pattern thank you. I do not I'm sorry :(
I LOVE this pattern! I am on my third stocking so far! (Need to make 15!) I have a couple of questions for the poster OR any other makers who have worked this…
-can I complete more than one stocking with the faux fur? (I’ve only worked the bodies and not the cuff yet)
-What is a pricing suggestion if I were to sell the finished product
Hi Lyndsey! Im so glad you like the pattern. I cant remember exactly how many stockings you can get with one skein of faux fur because it's been so long since I've made one of these. I am just using this pattern for the first time and am really enjoying how it’s going. My bobbles seem to go inward instead of sticking out where they are visible decoration. Do you know why this might be happening?
Hi Catherine. Make sure you're turning your work when the pattern calls for it.
Do you have instructions for when we should turn if we are doing a stocking that is a backwards J? When I turn at the heel for row 19 and finish the heel stitches somehow my join is now on the correct side AND on the back..
Make sure you're joining on the side you want to be on the inside of the stocking. Kinda finagle it.
I am having trouble with the hook of my needle isn't big enough. It will not hold on to the yarn. I bought the size you suggested. Need help.
I luv it❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much !
I got all the way to the heel with no problem, but then it didn't line up after. Started again. Wish me luck.
Ty
How long does this tend to take? I’m on a time crunch and would love to make two of these by the end of November!
Sorry just seeing your message Jenny. you could probably crank it out in a couple hours!
Love this pattern! Thank you 😊 if I can I will send you pictures on instagram made 5 LOL I realize you posted this awhile ago!

hahah thank you!! Im so glad you like it :D
My seem keeps leaning to the left. Is that normal? I still have 42 stiches in each the whole time, I my seems just curve left.
when I start doing the half double crochets after the first round of bobbles, I keep getting more than 40 stitches! what am I doing wrong?
Im not sure. Just go so and make sure you're counting your stitches. That should help.
Beautiful pattern, however I have found I had to turn my work once I got to the start of the heel to make it face J. I finished one (minus the fur need to buy) and started the 2nd one and noticed when I compared that they faced backwards J instead of regular J. Anyone else have this issue? I would say I’m a fairly average crochet-er and have made several patterns before. I don’t know if it’s an error that I made or what. 🤷🏻♀️🤔
HI Kate. Yes if you turn your work before crocheting the heel you will get a backwards j. If you dont turn your work you will get a forwards J.
I went to the link for the pattern and paid for the pattern, but did not get it. I left a message but did not get the email confirmation.
Do you have a pattern of this style for christmas mittens?
I don't. I started to design a pair like 5 years ago but never finished it :/
@@ACraftyConcept it happens :)
How do you figure out how much to sell your stockings for. I've tried to download the app that helps with that.
Hi Kim. You should price your items at a price point thats fair to you and fair to your ideal customer. Take into consideration your "why"... are you selling stockings to grow a full time crochet business? Or are you selling them as a hobby to help you pay for more yarn? The pattern calls for one skein of faux fur yarn for one stocking. Will the skein be enough for two stockings?
I think you should be able to get two stockings from one skein! I haven't tried yet but I believe you could.
