This was only mildly-edgy for late night at that time. Plenty of comedians had material 10x more edgy material that would still appear on mainstream TV throughout the 00's.
0:44-0:50 The HELL?!...... Her voice dropped like FIVE octaves When she was doing the bathroom bit. And I don't think it for the joke either. I think that's her REAL voice. I see now why she does the chipmunk thing; Who could take her seriously as a comic with a SILKY voice like that?
@veevyo The problem is that she's done it MANY times in the past and recently. The reason why I KNOW that's her real voice is because it's a very common practice for actors & entertainers to affect a different vocal octave than their normal one to project a specific image. Also, I have a Very Good ear for language's and accents so I notice these things more than most people.
@veevyo I had also intended to mention That Fran Drescher was the precursor to Sarah because of the fact she ALSO Speaks with an affected voice that's not her own.
Sarah was on fire in this. Comedic genius. 👾
She's a total badass
Was, was.
Agree
Yes she is and always will be.
5:34 "I go out with all kindsssssssssss..."
- Sarah Silverman, 2000

The song is "Twisted" by Lambert, Hendricks and Ross. Appropriate!
Written mostly by Annie Ross.
There's a great cover by Joni Mitchell on the Court and Spark record as well.

Great interview, any know what shoes she's wearing?
@Talq Idk it’s hard to see them. They look a little like low top Chuck Taylor’s

I was born in 2000, now I feel old.
Good news is, you have your whole life ahead of you. Bad news is, you missed out on free speech.
Free speech still exists in some countries.

I'm surprised she could do it in 2000, wow
meaeaeat Social media was light then. People weren’t social justice warriors like they were when the IPhone came out.

We miss you, Sarah
There's another Sarah Silverman now. Looks a bit like her but doesn't say or do anything remotely funny
I hate that this wouldn’t be okay in today’s overly politically correct climate. She is so funny, and was so funny back then.
It's OK when you've got the right surname.
Weird PG-rated watered down version of her content from Jesus is Magic.
Network TV
“But uh…. Midgets.”
Wow this comment section is toxic.
Her old stuff was edgy and really funny. BTW she did do full frontal nudity in a movie.
