Awesome drone footage Piet
Great video Piet
Awesome video I learned so much every time I watch your Channel thanks for taking me along stay warm stay safe God bless
Well Piet, it's the first time I got on your show and you are doing it very well. I do watch several farm shows in Canada and the States. I feel for farmers in these times with all the pare work the government makes them do while they know nothing about growing thins but are in the grips of the greenies. I wish you all the best for the new season. Greetings from Australia
Hi Piet. I'm glad everyone survived the great cold snap. And there is not a lot of snow on the ground out there. Friends in Michigan are reporting above average temps and most of the snow on their land is gone now. Good to see the farm moving forwards now that it is warming up nicely. Hopefully the trend will remain up and not bottom out going into March. We are above average in Montreal as well. We get a dusting every so often but we have not had a snow DUMP in months now. We are sitting at a balmy 29 F today. Glad to see all is well and you are ok.
With how nice it's been this winter I think we might be due for a late snow storm!
NICE
Piet. Will the analysis on the “Straw” Manure be similar to the other?
Tim Hoggarth
No, it won't have the same nitrogen content as liquid manure has in relation to the other nutrients.
♥️🇵🇱👊
Did you mulch the old alfaalfa sticks before new sprouts starts to grow?
alfalfa is pretty much a perennial plant, it goes dormant for winter and then starts growing like grass does when the warmth shows up and the ground thaws. Usually it stays healthy for 5-7 years and then its best to spray it out and plant something new there for a couple years.
after you spread solid manure on alfalfa, you cant till it in!
@@damienboyd8694 yes, you probably don't understand my comment. The crop that has not been cut has become dry in the winter, in spring usually here in Italy the dry crops are chopped to clean the soil and give more space to the new shoots of the plant.
@@RickyCervosorry no i didnt understand it. I gotcha now
@@damienboyd8694 don't worry 😜😀
How many employees do you have helping on the farm?
We have 23 full time employees.
Haw many cows do you have 😊
We have just under 3000 cows, heifers and calves on our farm.

What is the average milk per cow per day
I am enjoying your videos
What is the average milk per cow per day
Seriously - park the manure spreader on the angle that involves LESS turning for the loader
faster loading - less wear and tear on tires and mechanical - it SHOULD be basic knowledge for anyone operating machinery
the loader at 5.40 needs to turn 180 degrees from pick up to loading - that`s being an amateur without thinking -
had he backed in between the two piles of different manure he would only have to turn twice with the loader 30 degrees - the minimum possible
