- Living in Westerville, Ohio Overview--it's true, at one point this Columbus suburb was the Dry Capital of the World...Since falling off the wagon, Westerville's Uptown area has undergone a renewal (at least after 5pm), but even before that Westerville was one of the most desirable suburbs in all of Columbus. Plenty of park space and trees, great schools, access to shopping and convenience anywhere around Columbus are just a few of the reasons that attract people to this area.

After growing up in Central Ohio, the natural progression is to move to Columbus, but this was a very different town in the early 2000s. After surviving the Great Recession, Columbus has been on an absolute tear. While the recession was rough, we tended to fare better than many other cities partially due to the diverse amount of employers in the area. That, along with a focus on redevelopment of areas close to Downtown, population growth and the relatively cheap cost of living have helped buoy the Central Ohio area.
It doesn't seem that long ago in 2009 when residents were stoked to get Yuengling Lager to the area. Fast forward a short decade and today we have over 50 local breweries and our own "Ale Trail". That is just one of the fantastic changes.
Leaving for ten years, I left more or less a cow town and returned to a City bustling with boutique shops, coffee houses and restaurants, a renewed focus on fitness and somehow it seemed sunnier. In fact, it was such a cool city that we decided to stay.

Oops! You are probably right. Honestly, the airport is pretty convenient no matter where you are. A pro for the city

Rentals everywhere have been tight in Columbus
Controversial but Aumiller is a goated shop
I just learned from another video 📹 ohio have a lot of gang issues and it's not safe out there
I've lived in Westerville off and on since 1968 and I've never heard of any gang activity. I currently live here and I feel very safe. It's a great community with great neighborhoods and schools.

@@butterflies015 Pretty much all places in Up Town Westerville are handicapped accessible.
There are gangs, but IMO it's pretty obvious when you are not in a good area here...
