    You nailed it bro. Im over JTT. Outside of one game you would never even know he was on the team. He has 6 sacks in his entire career. As a 5 star defensive end.

    Damn Nique, I share your pain. Every year I can't wait for Buckeye football to roll back around, and every time I think this time they'll have their shit straight. They recruit all this talent, and you think yeh, this is the year it all comes together. I drove 12 hours to sit in the heat at their Indiana opener expecting to see the Bucks display their prowess and roll over the Hoosiers. We now know how that went. On top of all that I have to listen to my wife ask why I put my mental health in jeopardy every year like this. My brother dogs me out, says OSU will never win a national title with Day as head coach. I was told a long time ago, referring to Ohio State, that never has a program done so little with so much, and it looks like this year is going to be another example of that. Keep the rants coming brother, misery loves company.

    Next week is WKU then the real competition starts up in west bend. OSU got to figure out how to move the ball on offence and get those sacks and FF on defense. You are right, the talent needs to develop or they are screwed. What is going on in practice and training? This problem has to be somewhere on the coaching level.

    U hit the nail on the head bro and u definitely know exactly what u are talking about bro and we have a problem with the hole team and it's the head coaches job 2 find what the problems are and coach the coaches and he is not doing his job and Ryan day needs to get a offensive coordinator to call plays and he needs to coach the coaches like Alabama coach does and he is just not going to do it and to tell you the truth I don't think he is the man for the job the said part is I don't know who will take the job and can get it done but you are right about all of this bro word and Go Buckeyes

    Michigan fan here...Very surprised at this OSU team. They look slow, uninspired, and I hate to say...soft. DLine loaded with 5star guys, hell the whole Defense, and they can barely get pressure. JTT and Sawyer look like 3 star guys. I think JTT can redeem himself but Sawyer is an absolute bust.
    OL looks weak, that'll be a huge problem when you face teams with a strong DL. QB, dont even gotta say anything there. I think you guys will have a few losses this year, probably lose some top ranked recruits too. But in the end, you guys will be fine. You're OSU.

      I’m a Michigan fan too and I really think it’s something with Ryan Day. Teams take on the personality of their HC and all the things you listed like them looking uninspired and soft perfectly describes Day. Last year after the UGA game Day said OSU plays best when they’re attacking and then first game this season he’s talking about playing conservatively?? Like this dude has no fire in him.

    Love all of your commentary; but I have to point out that Chase Young is no Nick Bosa. Not sure why you skipped over him. The one that sets the pulse for the entire San Francisco 49ers Defense to get off the field as efficiently as possible. That's the reason why he is the highest paid Defensive player in the NFL. When he he was at The Shoe, I believed that our Defense would always take the edges/flats out of the equation as a main part of an O's game plan.

    I agree with you on this one. In order for Ohio State to compete with Gorge, Alabama and so on they can't play like that. The same goes for Michigan. Even though Michigan won they did not look good not good enough to compete with the big dogs.

    • @MaxPowersCFB
      @MaxPowersCFB ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Alabama and Georgia don't really look that good, the SEC looks to have become a little mortal now thanks to NIL and Transfer Portal. As for Michigan, I would think not having your head coach on the side line would have some effect on the team. The O-line is different because I don't think Nugent is not the same run blocker Olu was but Olu doesn't have Nugent's pass protection ability. The pass protection as a whole looks like it has gotten much better. The defense is playing lights out and that is with 3 out of 5 starters not playing quality snaps in the Secondary. The fact is that with Ohio's O-line in the state that it is in will not hold up against Michigan's interior D-line. Grant, Graham and Jenkins are going to slaughter them.

    The o-line and d-line are huge issues, no doubt. The o-line CANNOT run block, and they've not been able to run block since 2019... this is year 4 of the same bullshit on the o-line. They've also had several HUGE recruiting misses on the o-line over the past few cycles... I mean, they have a Mountain West kid from SDSU as the starting LEFT TACKLE at Ohio freaking State. What? The d-line CANNOT generate pressure from the edge. Nothing but 5-star and HIGH 4-star talent, but they can't create havoc in the opposition's backfield. Sawyer is the whipping boy while Tuimoloau gets a pass from the community, but that's bullshit too... JTT is every bit as average as Jack Sawyer. They both have all the measurables, size, strength, speed, but they don't have "it." They'll both play in the NFL and be top 100 picks, but their careers at OSU have been disappointing as of today. All of this is as clear as glass to ANYONE consistently watching the Buckeyes... BUT, the main issue, THE problem, is Ryan Day. The program is SOFT, and Day's identity is SOFT. He built a program in the B1G with an offense that cannot move the football in the cold/wind/rain/snow of November. If it isn't in a dome, or the temperature isn't 65* and sunny, Day's offense can't compete. He built an offense in Columbus Ohio that is tailor-made for San Diego California. Listen, MULTIPLE former players (Matt Wilhelm, Gareon Conley, Joshua Perry) have all said that Ohio State no longer has 'dawgs.' That the 'culture' at the Woody is "SOFT." That what made the culture stressful but GREAT under Urban Meyer -- competition, accountability, demanding excellence -- is missing under Ryan Day. They've said it's a "country club atmosphere," and brother, it SHOWS every Saturday at the line of scrimmage.
