Well I just came across your videos and subscribed to your channel. I took your suggestions and purchased the HS 210 and the HS 700E. I’ve been consuming all of the latest information from your channel and others while I wait for them to arrive (and the weather to improve). I’d like to take you up on the offer of a pre-flight checklist. It should serve me well as a guide and reference instead of pausing videos until I’m more comfortable and have an established routine. I just bought a hs710 and does the same, keeps disconnecting. I tried an android and apple phone, both newerphones and it was useless just like customer support. Sometimes I think these dudes posting peaches and cream videos get paid to take our money. I am now saving to get a real drone over 500 bucks. Good luck
I have the hs175 and was considering going to the hs175d but it looks like this is a better option. As always great video and lots of help. Hoping the learning curve is not to steep with the new controller?? I'm very comfortable with the hs175 controller and set up.
@@b4ugo I see DJI have just relesed the mini 2 se for £309 but I heard bad things about the Geo fencing being too resrictive. does the Holy stone drones still take off and expect the user to respect the rules or does it not fly like the DJI drones in a Geo fenced area?
So now the HS 710 is the best until another one comes out next month!! At least I didn't get the 175 yet because I think it's the 710 for me. I would love to have the experience that you have but I don't and I just want to start. Thanks for the vid as usual
Kirby, to be honest if there is a lot of wind I would go to the HS700E, its more stable, but its so close to the DJI MiniSE in cost and the Mini isn’t a budget drone, HS hates it when I say this but its the truth, I think they sell the MiniSE to cheap at $299 and dont listen to the people that say the MINI2 is waaaay better. That’s like saying a 1 year old Corvette isn’t any good because the new one has 20 more horsepower. The one year old one is more than 99% of the people will ever need,
I have a strange one. I just got this drone in the mail and it only comes with one battery?? The case is different than the one you are showing in your review. I really thought it came with 2 batteries. I'm in touch with Holystone now to see what up?
Hi, I own the HS710 and after seeing this video, had to buy the pontoons! I designed and printed a bracket to go over the top of the drone instead of using Velcro or rubber bands. My question is, did you have to alter the bottom bracket that holds the foam so it would not interfere with the bottom sensor on the drone? my first flight with the pontoons attached did not go very well. I also designed and printed propeller guards if you are interested. Thanks!

We unboxed our drone to find a random screw in the box...the camera won't tilt either. Do you know of a screw used for camera tilt or where it might go? All other functions are working.
I juat got one of these today, flew for a bit no problem, tried to use return to home and it freaked out and crashed, top part flew off and was all scuffed, wings folded up with at least 1 blade damaged and the battery came out, also scuffed. Needless to say im not happy. I used the return to home several times before it had issues
No, you can fly it without your phone. WiFi helps the signal a bunch. Fly aways are usually because people don’t do a prestart chrcklist, I swapped batteries once and forgot and the things went crazy. Happy Holidays

Yes, you will have to turn off GPS mode. But without Satillite’s be careful with the wind. Also, it uses the WiFi from your phone, not from the internet. I think you should be able to pick up Satillite’s anywhere.

Sorry for the late reply, been down with Covid, the MiniSE is more of a professional drone, there is a reason DJI has 78% of the market, HS definitely makes the best beginner drones. I think they sell the MINISE about $100 to cheap

"we already have" dont bother, "we " sent ours back. it wasn't ready for prime-time. plus Holystone outsourced its customer service to Walmart which sucks for this drone alone. they knew it was garbage. save your money, the HS600 is NOT worth it at all. its not the DE22 it tried to be.
I really DEERC (Holy Stone) makes the best drones in the under $100!range but with the release of the new DJI MiniSE at $300, nothing comes close Ulta that price point, thanks for watching

Don’t use follow me except for a slow walk, especially without obstacle avoidance, i really like the 700E more than the other 2, but the DJI Mini SE is really a MUCH better drone at close to the same price point, Holy Stone quit sending me drones because I say this. Holy Stone drones are best under $100. Maybe you can find a good used Air2 for $400-$500 that has good “Follow Me” and obstacle avoidance. But, nothing compares to the Skydio2 for true OA, i have tried to crash mine and you cant. Happy Holidays

Just getting this one- all is well, but 1 thing... it goes up, left, and right, at like a level 10 speed ( no matter if in high or low ) but it goes down at the speed of a 1 or 2 ... is this normal ? I mean it CRAWLS when going down. ... wind no factor.. any clue ? Thanks in advance.
They all go down really slow, on some you can speed it up in the settings, but it has to do with "Propwash" if it comes down to fast the props will lose there lift, thanks for the input

The least expensive drone that would be really good is the DJI MiniSE at $299, nothing really comes close at this price. But, for just taking pictures this does a good job.

Michael, the DJI Mini SE at $299 is the best deal for anyone that already knows how to fly a drone, nothing is really close to it. Beyond that it would be finding a good used drone. Drone are like treadmills, people think they will use them and never do sometimes

There are programs but they are really more for military and first responders. Never heard of anyone hacking into a phone WiFi. It’s not the WiFi from your home. Thanks for watching!

Not same price point...it's 50 bucks or more...and that's when it's on sale..so your thinking only 50 bucks more..then take that 59 bucks and add it to the price and get a DJI when it's on sale..$300 is easy to add up fast..and yes..I own this 175

Yes, that’s about right, they are not “intelligent batteries” they would eventually discharge themselves but that hurst battery life

I used the one for the Mini2, it really worked very close! Go straight to the high speed before taking off!

Sound like something is amiss, you did try tilting with the controller correct? You cant do it by hand

By the way, like car batteries, drone batteries are similiarly rated. Car batteries are rated as AMP HOURS, small drone batteries are rated as MILI-AMP HOURS. MILIAMPS are hundeds of an AMP

Just getting this one- all is well, but 1 thing... it goes up, left, and right, at like a level 10 speed ( no matter if in high or low ) but it goes down at the speed of a 1 or 2 ... is this normal ? I mean it CRAWLS when going down. ... wind no factor.. any clue ? Thanks in advance.
They all go down really slow, on some you can speed it up in the settings, but it has to do with "Propwash" if it comes down to fast the props will lose there lift, thanks for the input

The least expensive drone that would be really good is the DJI MiniSE at $299, nothing really comes close at this price. But, for just taking pictures this does a good job.

No, but you can pick up a Analog remote pretty cheap. DJI has a free sim but I use Liftoff and DRL for FPV, I think they where $20

Just wandering what you thank 0n me purchase one for my self for Christmas I have the 120 d by holy stone and the bolt bee it's a awesome little drone they dont make any more of them but you can purchase the parts and batteries for the bolt bee I have the 120 d holy stone complete with two batteries and carry case the only thing I don't like it don't have brushless motors I purchased the jjrc epic drone GPS with 2 batteries not a bad drone purchase ut from Amazon for around 200dollars its nice but I'm interested in the drone you are flying might just buy it for me for a early Christmas present just wanted your opinion before purchase great video keep the great work up and happy holiday too you and your family take care Mike Holden out of north Carolina said that thanks again for any information would be greatly appreciated
Michael, the DJI Mini SE at $299 is the best deal for anyone that already knows how to fly a drone, nothing is really close to it. Beyond that it would be finding a good used drone. Drone are like treadmills, people think they will use them and never do sometimes

In the US drones under 250 grams need to be registered with the FAA, but in Canada and the UK drones under 250 grams opens up all kinds of regulations

About 900 meters or yards. But, with any WiFi drone I wouldn’t go past 300 meters. That’s about the limit of line of sight anyway. Thanks for watching

Try to delete and reinstall the app, have you tried a different device? Works great with Apple products.

Is there any protection that can be used so hackers don't get into the wi-fi?
There are programs but they are really more for military and first responders. Never heard of anyone hacking into a phone WiFi. It’s not the WiFi from your home.

Well I just came across your videos and subscribed to your channel. I took your suggestions and purchased the HS 210 and the HS 700E. I’ve been consuming all of the latest information from your channel and others while I wait for them to arrive (and the weather to improve).
