Mixing the clean bass channel and the distorted bass sounds great dude! I think I remember on Resington's channel he does a similar thing, so I might have to give that a go as well. Cheers for this man!
Dunno if this will get answered, but I'm giving it a shot. I've got this same bass, though I think it's from around 92. Same pickup configuration, but it's a swamp ash body not basswood. Do you by chance recall how you were running the EQ on the bass(both pickups? only p or j?). I can't get a decent sound out of mine and it's starting to get frustrating.
Hello Mark! I try to answer all the questions I get 👍! I recall everything was at max, volumes, tones and eq knobs, so everything on at 10! Thanks for commenting!
@@AleArzMusic I'm gonna have to give that a shot. Mine at times feels either too nasally or like there's a blanket on the high end and I'm not getting the clank I want out of it.

You’re improving your playing alot !
Thank you! Never played a bass before, I treated it like a guitar and somehow it worked haha
These videos are getting really good! Nice bass too
Thank you! Upgrading the script time after time lol

Absolutely! I love Resington's videos, he's a very talented TH-camr
@@AleArzMusic as are you dude. It's good that decided to keep the bass and work on it, it sounds so good.
@@JDetralate stay tuned, I've got a lot of new videos coming!
Dude! It sounds really good even dry! Nice find!!!
Thanks man! All it needed was just a massive dose of elbow grease! And new strings lol.
Alessandro Arzilli glad to hear that you sorted out the electronic problems you were showing me on Instagram.
I'm glad you didn't find any creatures in your archeological find 😁. It sounds really good, and that jam at the beginning...DUUUUUDE!
Haha thanks man! Couldn't believe this bass hadn't ever been cleaned since 1995.
I have a feeling that's pretty normal, haha.
@@mindscrub hahaha the strings were original, too 😮⚠️
Amazing bass
Thanks man!
Not sure but yours has ivory dots and is a 1995. Very well might be a Korean made one since they made em there too in 1995.
Thank you! I gave it back to the original owner, now I have a Jackson Kelly KBX. th-cam.com/video/jBruUu9EtBY/w-d-xo.html

Welp, I think that did it for me. Thanks for answering!
Glad I helped you! Also, I didn't mention that I used brand new strings on it, so the classic "clang" attack may be because of that 👍
Alessandro Arzilli Yeah, I thought that was the culprit at first. Then battery for the electronics. Turns out I just need to USE the electronics...😂
I bought a 92 sr885 for my first bass and I really love it, but its so uncomfortable playing 4 string basses now
Thanks for sharing, I loved that SR I had
Great bass. Thank you
Hi! great review, do you know what the nut width was? I know its been over a year lol
No, sorry, but you can find every answer on Ibanez official site archived catalogued
1995 was the only year the Korean model had those inlays.
Maybe? Abalone dot inlays
@@AleArzMusic np if the info I have is correct those MIK SR800s have maple bodies as well
Thanks
I got the sr800g does it have the same hardware? Based on serial it was made 91 in japan
Hi, I have no clue. You might check Ibanez catalogues on their official webpage
At the moment i refresh my sr800 from 94. The EQ doesnt work well. Maybe i buy new pick ups. Emg?
Not sure, I liked the stock pickups. Can't go wrong though, with both EMGs and SDs
@@AleArzMusic i will try the EMGs and i'll give a feedback
@@jenskampmann8791 awesome. Thank you
Cool I have the same bass but the hiss puts me off recording with it.
Thank you
Domanda, a quanto me lo posso vendere un Ibanez SR800BK di Marzo 1994 Made in Japan (serial number starts with F)?
A seconda di quanto è messo bene, direi tra 300 e 500 euro
Friend, why the body ???
What?
Cost?
Free (was lent me by a co-worker)
@@AleArzMusic ok but which is the value?
400 - 800 $, depending on many factors a buyer would look at
