I think you did an awesome job. I generally don't comment but since you asked I'll tell you we have Moleskin in ours. Nothing will make a walk more uncomfortable then an open blister. Moleskin for sure. We also have 4 kids and they have fanny packs with individual supplies. Each child has a different color glow stick. So if we had to walk at night my wife and i could know where each child was by the color of there glow stick. But again just a could additions. You did a great job. Kings to you.
Awesome idea with the different color glow sticks! We have kids too and will be putting together small packs for them as well. Thank you so much 🙏🏽✅ I’ll look into moleskin as well.
Just a few suggestions to help you. Swap out that life straw for a Sawyer mini. Get a travel pack of baby wipes and toss the towel tablets. Your water bottle needs to be able to boil water in, get a single wall bottle. Bring a 2nd plastic 40 oz Nalgene water bottle. I know water is heavy but you will be going through water fast, so you will want more. Too many flashlights and light sticks. Have a headlight and maybe a small flashlight. Fire and first aid looks good. Again too many cutting tools. One fixed knife and one multi tool. You don’t need a knife sharpener in a get home bag. Need a pair of socks and moleskin, remove the pants and add a fleece hoodie.
I’d recommend throwing 100’ of paracord in there also. It’s a multi use item. A sidearm with spare mags and a couple boxes of ammo should be a priority in your bag also. Topographical maps and a lensatic compass should be included, just in case you need to go cross country to speed up your trip to get home, or if you need to take an alternate route. Always have a contingency plan or 2; bad guys, weather, or other issues can affect your plans (aka a backup for the backup).
@@phil42 with paracord, you can use it to make a hammock, a net for catching fish, snare traps, building shelter, building a raft, fire starter, making dead fall traps, safety lines, the inner strands can be used for fishing line, repairing clothing, suturing wounds, etc.. So you see why paracord should be an essential item in a bug out/get home bag. It’s a multi use item.
what up my brotha, salem in the house. changing my get home bag as we are in the spring time. as for the life straw. stay with it. it does work. I keep different ways of filtering my water.
I wasn’t sure because I’ve never used it before. But I only hear good things about them. But I definitely need more ways to filter water. If you have any pointers, let me know 🙌🏽✅
Since You said you keep water in your trunk. (I learned from personal experience) 1 your water will freeze during the winter and cause the bottle to bust . 2 is it’s hot and you get stuck on i70 for 2-3 hours because an accident you will remember the waters you stored away and be excited to pull them out and use them, buttt they may be to hot to drink 😂 ( my wife didn’t think it was funny at the time)
IF YOU ARE NOT AWARE DO NOT USE THE INSULATED WATER BOTTLE TO BOIL WATER THE DUAL WALL WILL TRAP HEAT AND BLOW UP TRY TO FIND A SINGLE WALL CUP OR BOTTLE FOR BOILING OR COOKING
Coalcracker Bushcraft did a video debunking the “exploding” insulated bottle. Check out the video. The only thing bad about using a double insulated bottle is, it’s hard to get the water to boil. In fact he couldn’t get the water to boil in the video.
@@EDC_CentralOregonI use a sawyer filter I think it's better than a life straw because it can be back washed and attached to a bottle. Boiling is definitely the way to go if you dont have a filter. But that's what the filter is for making drinkable water on the go without need to boil.
Good pack but I would definitely throw out that tourniquet and get a real American Rescue tourniquet from their website. A real TQ will run you about $30-$35

Thank you for the feedback! Definitely will be adjusting accordingly. I appreciate it. 🙏🏽✅
I've been thinking of switching to fire cord xt instead of paracord. Thoughts?

Aye man!! That’s all facts. My bottles kept freezing. 🥶 😂😂 luckily they haven’t blown up yet! Good looking out 🙌🏽✅✅✅

Awesome!! Thank you so much! 🙌🏽
A military canteen with cup are recommended. If you want extra water, military 2qt canteens are ideal.

Solid start, but fyi ditch the lifestraw. For something as cheap as a sawyer or a life straw you need to boil first to avoid viruses.
Good looking out! 🙌🏽

Buen vídeo 💪Siempre preparados!
Gracias y saludos
