Since you’re asking for decor ideas… I think that the 2 wood elements together give a visual heaviness to that side of the wall/room which are not balanced by the extra tall light in color desk. You should move the etagere to the opposite side (where the desk now lives) and lower the desk and place it underneath the television. You can move the desk if you need more space to use it (install locking casters to maneuver). I think the height of the desk is most visually distracting ( from the filming angle anyway). Sometimes though one has to sacrifice esthetics for functionality and ultimately what makes you two happy.
Omg I watching this and at present it’s raining cats and dogs here in Essex 😢. The best podcast to date, not that I didn’t enjoyed the others, watching with a smile on my face.
Hi Arielle, The slide show was great; it was fun going down memory lane with you! I think the wall with the TV has too much going on; just thinking out loud, but, what if you moved the TV to the wall directly in front of the sofa, where you have a mirror? Would it fit there? Then the wall that has too much going on could be for your desk, with shelf units that match in style, and go together color wise. Again, just thinking out loud here; whatever makes you both happy, is what counts. 😊
Your dress is gorgeous! I’d love to know where you got it. Maybe you can find a smaller L sectional couch where the chaise lounge part comes out and faces the tv? No matter what you choose it’s your space and you know how to live it in so really only your opinion matters. 💖 I enjoyed your slide show. Memory lane is my favorite!
My husband lives in Suisse Romande- highly recommend the panoramic train from Montreux! It's great. There are also some capsule hotels in Zurich, Lausanne and a few other cities that are way more affordable compared to standard Swiss prices. I'm learning French while waiting for a visa... fingers crossed! Also, thank you so much for sharing your time in Grenoble! It was so great to hear about another part of France :)
I agree with the person who said the wooden pieces make that part of the wall look lopsided. Put the desk in the middle. And split the 2 wooden pieces. Keep the larger piece as you looking at the wall to the left and move the small one where the desk is now.

We also ate Thai food in Nice. Couldn’t figure out the French Menu and I was afraid I would order brains ! A review of a menu would be great!
This was great. I always enjoy your content. Keep up the good work!

Great slide show, and as to your hair, it looks great but also that's why they invented dry shampoo, it works wonders
Please do a show and tell about Aix en Provence. I’ll be in Antibes this September and hope to take a day in Aix. Thanks!
