Tomking TK144FC. I filed and shimmed the flywheel notch so ignition timing is closer to top dead center. With the centrifugal clutch springs changed to lighter ones, it will troll or run at any speed. Hand finishing the aluminum propeller chops down drag a lot. I don't leave gas in the tank overnight. The prop gears take 85W140 and the motor 20W50 oil. Round filing the inside of the handle means you can use a Swiffer mop handle to sit on the middle bench.
i’ve sold the boat and the motor for a really good price, but im not a fan of air cooled motors in the water its annoying.. i put a 5 hp mercury 4 stroke on it. and it handled pretty well
DO NOT BUY!! You will waste your money and regret. Rather save or hold a bit more to get a 2nd hand normal boat motor or electric trolling. These things are not 4hp. They are completely underpowered and unreliable.
I wouldn't say unreliable. But you do need to treat it like you would a weedeater. I have 2 of them & they always crank. I add 1" to transom & it gets my 14 flat bottom going well

How is this motor still holding up? Also what brand boat is that?
How did you adjust the carburetor?
That is not a 4hp but only a 2, because have the same motor too only to find out it's a Honda GXV50 clone. 2.1 hp
Doesn't surprise me at all. China...
Yes a 2 HP. Unit. 52.5 cc roughly.
If you put a 4 HP Yamaha or Suzuki. You would fly in that boat.
I’ve got the same boat. I’ve been running it with a trolling motor. I’m looking at something like this.
Are you still happy with your motor?
