I think the guard gauge is good to have in the game considering how dog throw is in this game, but it's implemented terribly right now It's either you break in 2 interactions or you don't play the guard gauge game at all. Spending all your resources only to get IS GC CVed is an easy way to throw the game, especially since your opponent regens at least 70% of their guard gauge on a successful mash
