I don't understand why so many people have a hard time grasping this video. It's a concept video. Shots of animals killing each other juxtaposed with shots of people killing each other. It ties right into the lyrics of the song:

On sunday while at church, I pulled out my Ipod and started listening to this song. I felt like a rebel.
Warrel Dane has it nailed: "If nothing in the world can change, our children will inherit nothing." As controversial as this band has been over the years, they are dead-on in their views - and their music reflects their discontent with 'the system'. This video is priceless: Trying to shelter a lonely child from the chaos of the world - but he sees it on TV and then again when he peeks through the blinds. The message: There is no escape from todays chaos. "If nothing in the world can change...."
