HEY! So stoked to have found you! I live in the North Okanagan and I have been DREAMING of getting land and building a place in the Shuswap. Unfortunately, just didn't have the funds available as I'm working to grow a video production business I started a few years back, but I'm finally starting to get to a place where this dream can become a reality. Really excited to be following your build and to be the 105th subscriber! You'll be at 1K in no time!
Thanks so much! Well, it was a really hard choice between the two. It came down to a few minor factors: 1- Availability (Fox Block is sold at most Home Hardwares including the one near our property) 2- Our Nudura quote came as a total package with every accessory and gadget included in the package, which as DIYers, didn't appeal to us. And 3- With a small house footprint, we thought the 4' Fox Blocks might end up having less waste than the 8' Nudura. Really, we could have gone either way but we've been happy with Fox Block so far.
On 3 of the sides (the ones getting backfill), all the rebar is significantly inset, I believe it's about 2 inches from the inside foam. The horizontal rebar alternates on every row, and the vertical rebar slides down between them so I don't know the exact measurement :)
It's so cool to see how far it's come in a short time!

where did you end up renting the icf bracing from? I'm building on an acreage in Kelowna within the next few months and might need to rent some
