Ranking/Reviewing EVERY Samba De Amigo Game (Including Party Central!)

- Howdy everyone, I have a quick ranking video for you all and it is the Samba De Amigo series by SEGA. While not the largest or more complex its a fun rhythm game series about a monkey with maracas.

As someone who loves rhythm games and has been playing them for decades, SDA seems right up my alley and it’s great to see this obscure franchise get a brand new entry after decades I’m assuming and becoming more accessible to everyone.
Party Central is even more fun with the joy-con maracas accessories!... Yes, they exist! I bought a pair on Amazon, and they really enhance the experience! Not to mention they'd probably make you look a little less silly when playing it, since you'd be actually shaking maracas instead of just flailing joy-cons around like a spastic monkey. XD

Just a thought, Sega has plenty of monkey characters over the years. Somba De Amigo, Monkey Ball, and their former top mascot before Sonic, Alex Kid. Anymore I'm missing?

Hi there! So happy to see your love for this game!!! Got it back in the day for Dreamcast!!! Also, I agree with you on the reviews. But I have a little update. After buying the game for my Quest 3, I have to say that the VR version is by far the superior one!!! More game modes, not only on full VR, but also Mixed Reality!!! And the presentation is even better!!!

I understand that you need to make a video ... but I don't really understand how a game where you can't really hold the "maracas" out at the width that you would with the Arcade/DC vers. 2000 ranks above that game ... but well done for making the coverage!
The wii game is very broken and hard on the harder difficulties

I mean, I know that the Naomi 1 was a slightly more powerful DC, but ... yeah ... surely?
Party Central was my first Samba game, and it was kind of frustrating. The motion controls didn't work too well, and the regular controls were just okay. I also wasn't a huge fan of the songs. However, it was still great to hear your enthusiasm for this franchise, and I'm glad it worked for you!

I had planned on tanking them all for the Pc release of rift apart. However I worked at insomniac games and was laid off due to a headcount reduction in late July and have since put the video on hold till it doesn’t hit so hard emotionally. I will one day rank all of them though as I have the script done and played through all of them
I love all of the Samba de amigo games but you CANNOT beat the Dreamcast 2000 release with the maraca controllers. The Wii and switch releases allow you to be lazy with your movements and just use your wrists... in fact, the switch release is so lazy... you can get S rank whilst barely playing it. which is the reason why that is my least favourite game. The dreamcast releases wipe the floor with the others. I am interested in the Quest VR release though... That one could potentially out perform them all???
Yes, because it is giving 9/10 rating one of the best histories, in japan

@@TotallyTubularJonathan Besides the new one. Your comments on the Wii game reeks of someone who hasn't actually played it and you use other peoples footage throughout the entire video, making me think you don't own the DC versions too.
I'm so certain you did not play any of the prior games I would be money on it.
honestly I can't hate on the guy because he at least tries to play every game talks about. But I don't believe he could play all the games he shows from beginning to end. I don't think anyone one with a job has time to do that, although that would be a dream to just focus on playing every game you could.
Still one of my favorite games
