I picked one of these up today and put it on a Shakespear Micro 5'6 with 6 pound mono and hit a swampy creek with some beetle spins. Not an expensive setup at all but very efficient and a lot fun. Caught some bluegill and good eating size bass that made for a good fight. Absolutely loved that combo for what I was doing and it's sure to see many more trips.
Its' a workhorse of a reel! Good luck out there!
I've been fishing with Shimano for literally decades. Great reels for low cost. Gotta love the Quickfires.
One of my favorite reel brands
@@RamonOutdoors Hey Raymond, do you think this sienna 1000 spooled with 2lb test can be used for saltwater? I would like to try and catch at least a 30 or 40 lb motherfucker on it.
Enjoyed the video man! I feel like ya building my future trout rig for me🤙🏻
It’s a solid set up for trout. Doesn’t break the bank which is nice but definitely quality.
I saw this reel locally, recently! I think I’ll give it a go, it was only $24.99! Can’t have to many!!
Solid review bro, keep ‘em coming 😎
Dude even at full retail it’s a steal, but at $25 you can’t beat it!
The Shimano Sienna used to be my go to reel, super effective for a great price 🙌 great video brother 👌
Thanks man! I like it so far and for the price you can’t beat it!
Good breakdown Ramon.
Thanks Jessie! I appreciate you watching! As soon as a Revros comes in stock I’m going to pick one of those up too!
@@RamonOutdoors ended up going with the Legalis. More than I wanted to spend, but ice is melted and I really want to get my new rod on the water. My 50 size quantum just wasn’t going to cut it. I will say this, I did notice that rounded top lip you were talking about. Never noticed that on a spinning reel before.
@@jessiehoch7541 it’s nice and I can see how it helps cast out better. None of my uglystik reels have the lip and I have issues sometimes.
I love the 1000, got a 500 too they rip
It's a workhorse!
Closest I get to ultralight reels is 4000 size. I have a sienna and multiple Penn reels.
Super ultralight on opposite day!
@@RamonOutdoors most of my reels are 6000 up to 10000 size with 60 to 100lb braid. Big catfish don’t stand a chance.
@@turboboy0 sounds like a fun ride!
Lol.. funny I got the exact same setup... 2 more months man then my adventure begins. 😁
Heck yeah! I got a video on how to rig the horse fly coming soon!
@@RamonOutdoors thank you I appreciate that alot 😉😉
Hey Mike! Check it out - th-cam.com/video/vWSn8LNjUz4/w-d-xo.html
how much is the top diameter of the spool in millimeters?
The spool itself or the top of the drag knob?
@@RamonOutdoors the spool thank
@@domenicofalcone2921 alright here is what I got. Sorry it took so long. Diameter (mm-m) 0.25-90. Straight from the spool itself!
You do not get 5 yards of line in with one turn of the handle ,more like 2 feet of line.
@@pegknife yeah I misspoke I think I addressed that in another comment.
@@RamonOutdoors Ok, maybe i should'a read all comments
@@pegknifeno need. What I meant to say was for every one turn your bail spins 5 times.
@@RamonOutdoors Yes i know, one turn of the handle = five turns of the rotor. What do you think of the reels ? I'm thinking of getting a 2000 size to go on my Korum Snapper so-solid 7ft spinning rod.
@@pegknife the Shimano Sienna is a solid workhorse. I’ve had one for over 3 years now and it still works like new.
Well now I have to find more mo way to spend…
Spend all the money you save buying this reel on Mule Fishing baits!
what rod
Berkley Lightning Rod Ultralight Trout Rod - amzn.to/3YtwHr3 6"6' Ultralight! Solid rod for the price!
