Funny thing is, they didn't even need to do that in this scenario, the stars are so far away that no matter how fast you go the starfield make it look like you never move. They could have demonstrated speed in outer space using different camera work or space dust but nope, making the starry sky feels like a nearby wall it is. Don't get me wrong, the effect is a classic, but the vastness of space feels like a joke sometime due to this.
Actually, I think this scene might be a nod to *_"Shin Kidō Senki Gundam Wing: Endless Duel"_* - a Gundam Wing themed beat'em up that was developed by Natsume and released on the SNES in 1996. 1996 is before a lot of peoples time these days.

Tallgeese 1 is one of the best designed MS in the franchise. Tallgeese resembles a big centurion knight with enormous rocket thrusters. The palette of white with black, gold and red trim communicates its high status. More of an ornamental show piece than a tool of war but capable of so much raw speed and power that it doesn't matter. Top it off with a giant dober gun and "villain color" beam weapons and your left with an impression that hits hard and tells you everything you need to know.
Just raw power and enough amour to survive any attacks and plot armor. I'd say it's iconic as the Red Comet and Zechs was actually my favorite character in the whole show.
TallGeese design was so stupid but it works, more power to thruster, more armor, and dumb big beam weapon that will work at all time since it can withstand the recoil, and since it's a dumb big beam weapon it will survive the scattering effect.
I loved the Tallgeese later in life after learning to love the TIE fighter. They have a lot in common. As much as I love the Tallgeese I still have to say Epyon was my favourite above all, and the Mercurius was mint as well. Those are my top three.
God, your mecha stuff is so fucking killer. Good to see this joke animated. One that I think any Gundam fan worth their salt probably made as soon as they saw or played Untitled Goose Game. Kinda curious how boss this goose would be as Tall Goose III. Please keep up the good work you do. o7
There was a Regular Show episode or...several, actually I think...That ran with a similar concept to this. Only, I think the mecha was ducks, and the geese were evil kaiju? Peace will truly never be an option with them. They are limitless. They are coming. Their honks will drown out the screams of the damned.

I never would have thought when in the period of me getting back into Gundam I would have seen a really funny and cool animation from one of my favorite animators.
I doubt anyone can get close enough to grab its neck, those boosters alone will make the Tall Goose very fast. Besides, it can obliterate you with its Bofors Cannon at long ranges, while it has two beam sabers behind its shield for self-defense, most likley cutting the attacker into pieces.
