Team, if this video inspired you to purchase items from a manufacturer or distributor please let them know this channel inspired you when you check out your cart. Thank you - RK
Well made with only pics
Thanks
Can I do this with just the puck and jack underneath, I don't have the crossbar and chains for the top. I'm ordering this subframe and the 2015 STI rack for my 2002 Gd right now
You probably can, but I think it would be a significant challenge. You have to support the weight of the engine and trans in a way that doesn't impede changing out the subframe or cause damage. If you do use that approach, I suggest 3 points of reliable support.
You can get the engine bridge for $65 on Amazon and it will save you time and energy.
Good luck with your project.
Does this replace the u-shaped front subframe?
Is the increase rigidity that noticeable for the cost?
What things are worth is subjective. This mod increases rigidity, lowers the vehicle weight, makes working on certain components much easier, and has adds "cool" points 😂.
That being said, I think it's a great mod and worth it if you plan on driving on the track. I don't think I'd spend the money on this if I wasn't doing track days.
Good day . Can you please tell me y subframes are those ? Thanks
The company that makes this subframe is called "TSS fabrications". There is a link to their website in the description.
Hey question for you, do you get more nhv (road noise and vibration) because of the new subframe?
There is more noise, but not more vibration. I can't blame just the subframes because the bushings are stiffer than stock. It's still very street friendly.
@@RyKingUploads thanks for replying, thinking about jumping on this while there is a sale
what options did you choose for the front?
I have the GD unit. I only have the powder coating but I wish I got the jack plate too. I'm thinking of getting a 2015 steering rack so I have to call them to see what the difference is.
@@RyKingUploads did you get front u mount option?
No because I didn't want fitment issues. The u mount was standard on GDs but I don't think it was for GCs (at least not in the US). This being a non-refundable piece I decided to play it safe.
Where can I buy the parts from
The link for the tss frames is in the description.
@@RyKingUploads how long did it take to get the subframe?
@marioalmazan I believe it took about 6-8 weeks
What model year?
I'm not sure what you are asking. Mine is a 95, but this should fit from 93-07. TSS makes parts for a range of models & variations.
