Well, the Mocs are definitely good, Kentucky’s defense is really weak compared to recent seasons while their offense spent this week sleepwalking its way through the game.
The Mocs did play well , and Kentucky made some key mistakes that cost on the scoreboard. I didn’t see a good ground game at all from Ky and this worries me . A lot . Going to be a disappointing season as a Ky fan if it’s not going to get a lot better than this 10 minute highlight film . They will get beat down in the SEC this year and be lucky to win a conference game . This performance today wouldn’t even beat Vandy .
@Fairview’s Finest FVC Respectfully disagree. Mocs had two weeks of film to study and choked off UK’s running game and in response our passing game was mostly pitiful. Our defense has been unexpectedly and surprisingly weak so far. Calling this a trap game doesn’t excuse the poor performance on offense and the defense hasn’t played well yet. Objectively, UK is definitely not a top 20 team. We may not even be in the top half of the SEC this year. Time will tell, but the team has A LOT of improvement to make.

Coen seemed to take take the blame for not preparing the offense properly. He didn't want to run the ball much after last week's war, and he also admitted to taking UTC lightly. He even started the game with several reserves in place of starters. That clearly set a tone that kept the team from being up for the game. I think Coen forgot he's no longer in the NFL. It's the pro philosophy of saving snaps for star players for the big opponents, but that approach rarely, if ever, works in college. College kids lack the professional discipline to get up for the game just the same no matter what.

@@ammocan2796 yeah. These two interceptions were like his first true ones, since the previous two came from batted 50/50 catches that were thrown too high.

Chatt resident here. That’s the best we’ve played against a big school. Awesome
UK is good but UTC has been building talent since around 2008.. that’s was the time the program got it’s act together and we started winning consistently. Glad to see we can hang around

They played awful, but at the end of the day they got the W. These mistakes will only make us better.
Hopefully they will take a lesson from it.

Kentucky is doing good this season so far. The only worry is that Kentucky the past years have had a decent defense, this years is kind of trash. As with previous years, we've been fine on offense. This years offense is probably better. Especially the receiving compared to the last few years, I just don't know if they're as good at running. Otherwise, this team is doing great so far! Go Cats!
I agree, but I think the defense is solid just have to work on not leaving gaps open. We have the potential to win the SEC East and possibly face Alabama and give them a run for their money.

Kentucky is a great team. They have a top 5 SEC offense and their defense is good too. They deserve to be in the top 20, just a off game for em this week

Just watcg when we play florida lsu or georgia. this team is a top 15 team u can't judge a team off one game. we had one of our best lineman out, both starting linebackers were out, starting safety was out too. and we have possibly the 2nd best qb in the sec, a top 3 sec runningback, and a top 5 sec reciever

Coach Stoops said they had bad practices that week!!"Going through the motions"..the results spill into game time!!..now you are just playing on emotions!!.results of playing on emotions is taking wrong steps, wrong techniques, fumbles, stupid penalties etc..... that's how a less caliber team can beat you!!!..Been there and done it!!! @@mikelldaley9078 he does!!!.because he's the guy in charge he's going to take the heat..Coach has to make sure they have the proper game plan to win!!...what causing a low caliber team to win is an emotional high caliber team!! It's happeneds to the best!!! That's why you pratice putting emotional mistakes to bed before the game time!...but from a past UK player stand point I hold the seniors responsible as well!!!...but a team like Kentucky can't afford to be an emotional team not enough talent as an Alabama to overcome emotional mistakeson the field!!..Every team goes thru that good or bad!!..One thing I can say about Coach Stoops he is doing a good job than most Kentucky coaches keeping good talent coming in and keeping an emotional Kentucky team to its minimum!! That's why he's having some success @ Kentucky!! He'll go back to the drawing board and will put a better product out against South Carolina!!! He's got good talent in key positions to be better!!
