Hello, Kobus; greetings from Pretoria. Two questions: 1) on the CTO gel part, would I get a similar result if I change my camera's WB colour (within the RGB spectrum) with regular flashlight? 2) If I use the rear curtain option in the speedlite, while shooting at lower SS, the movement effect will be more dramatic? Thanks for your time and input!
Hi @efhurtado. Thank you for taking the time to watch the video. Changing the WB will effect the whole image in parts that you might not want it to. For example, if the light hits the body on the one side the shadow side is still cooler and looks more natural. With regards to rear curtain, you can do that if you like a more dramatic look but if prefer the normal way. Appreciate you popping in. See you in the next one.

Did u have to change ur WB in camera in order utilize the cto gels?
No I don’t. The gels is orange and casts a warm light. Hope it helps? Thanks for watching
Get Sony A9iii and you can shoot to flash with any shutter speed (up to 1/80 000s). It has a glopal shutter, and this camera change my flash potography totally. You can overpowed to sun at small speedlight. If you use a Sony flash you can shoot to TTL up to 1/80 000s.
And it works all to time.
Buy to way thanks to good tips.
Sony also makes great cameras. I do however not agree with you that you can use a speedlight to over power the sun just because of high shutter speed. A speedlight simply does not have enough power for it. You will have to get a very power strobe.
I usually put shutter speed 1/10 000 - 1/16 000 and
Sony HVL-60RM2 is enough to overpower to sun.
