Ah, the joy of stand tunes.
This will always stick with me. The senior that was supposed to be lead trumpet player could no longer be part of marching band. This was the first performance of the year, I had missed band camp due to being sick, and it was me as section leader with a new sophomore. It was terrifying, but I did it, it taught me a lot, and I love it so much.
This tenor sax part had me in shambles trying to play 😂😂

My eighth grade band played this at our concert two days ago. I played the bass drum. It's my favorite band song ever.
the bass line is so simple, i have it memorized at one glance, played this last football season as our stand tunes it is lit

We are gonna play this for an event called 8th grade band night it's when 8th graders from band meet up with the high school band students and play for the last football game
we play this all the time for our pep band for basketball games, its not my favorite to play, but always manages to get stuck in my head. much love from a trumpet player!!

I play trumpet and I had to play this song for my first ever halftime show ever back in 7th grade. Having to do that kinda solo part was scary.
Playing this in marching band this year, and for some reason my friend made a swing version of this song on his tuba, and has played it so much that it's become a part of his life. Everyone gets annoyed when he plays it, and once at a football game he even played his swing version when he wasn't supposed to, and our band director said if he does it again he will dismantle his tuba and bury his mouthpiece.
