I am a new beginner like one week in. How often did you wash or how long should you stay before you wash?
Welcome! I waited about 2 weeks before washing & continued washing about every 2 weeks.
This worked for me but i know everyone’s texture is different which may results in different outcome

Hmm... try to at least get the top part into the pony and then the pieces in the back you can always tuck in or use bobby pins.
