They might have been Sabo and Bolans lyrics but what got Skid Row to legendary status was the face and voice of Sebastian Bach
Such a shame because they really couldn't replace him. I always thought the root of the reason he was kicked out because the rest of the rest of the band lived in his shadow. They came out when I was 17. I could never tell you who the rest of the band was or what they looked like. It was always Sebastian. He doesn't need Skid Row, He IS Skid Row.
I sang in a band at 14/15 around 1990.... this guy was a god to me .

Sebastian for all of his wild ways is always so respectful and genuine in interviews. Sebastian didn't make a comeback. He never went away. He is the real deal.

If it's one thing i like about Sebastian apart from his amazing voice is that he tells it like it is and sings it like he feels it. No BS.
Smart of him to hold his ground and not sing something that didnt live up to their reputation. That solidifies his material forever.

Skid Row without Sebastian it a really waste of time! He was the band's heart, his voice still is amazing. If they came back with the original shape will be fantastic.
70s -80s when Rock n Roll was great and you had to have talent to make it . And alot of those dudes in those bands were nice to look at , especially Sebastian.

I’ve been a singer since the 80s and I totally agree and feel exactly the same, I just can’t put 100% of my voice into a song that I just don’t like. I’ve been a singer and vocalist all my life and I’ve told this to many people; if you sing it like you believe it, if you sing it the way you feel it ,,, it will come across in how you sound . Music is a ver emotional passion for me ,,, so it’s like,,, what ever the song is , what kind of emotion does the song bring out in me? ,,, then channel that emotion through my voice and sing with that emotion , letting that emotion not so much dictate but strongly influence my voice and so your audience can feel through the song what you feel through the song because of how you sound. So, yes, if I don’t like it then I can’t put everything I got into it cuz I just don’t feel it

I've heard an interview with Seb and he says the reason was that Rachel didnt want to open for Kiss so Sebastian said he would kick his ass so they fired him.

That just really shows how important he was to the band and now they're facing bad karma. Note: THEY were the ones who kicked HIM out so if he wants to rub it in a little, I think he kinda has that right, so long as he doesn't do it all the time, which I doubt he would.

Skid Row was not Sebastain Bach's band he was brought on after the band was formed, so why does he believe every song they wrote has to meet his approval?

Seems to me the reason Sebastian got kicked to the curb was his stubborn unwillingness to compromise with the other Skid Row guys. It's a band situation, not his solo stuff, so he couldn't have things his way all the time. Being in a band is all about give and take so everybody stays on the same page and gets along. Sebastian failed to realize that, the other guys got fed up with him, so he wound up out on his ass. Sure, Skid Row is now a shadow of their former selves and aren't nearly as successful as they were back in the day, but they're probably a lot happier and far less frustrated now.
That may be, but here's the deal with being a vocalist. As Baz states, it's actually impossible to sing music you don't like and make it convincing. Which means, had he sung those songs they wanted to sing against his better judgement, the performances would have come across insincere. Skid Row fans are not stupid. They would have known and they probably would have revolted. No true rock fan likes a singer (or other members of the band) that are going through the motions. If Baz had done it anyway, Skid Row still would have disbanded as we knew it because they wouldn't have sold records anymore.
So Bolan would have fired him later then if he would have agreed to sing those sorry ass songs from the album Thick-Turd-Skin and later... . He would have just used his same familiar press release of the other fired singers... "He wasn't giving it his all man, it is what it is." It was going to happen from day one. Bolan hated Baz from the beginning. He just uesed him to gain fame, fortune, etc and dumped him when the band was going downhill commercially... The guy is a delusional controlling egocentric user and loser. Rachel Bolan has fired EVERY fucking member of that band (close to 30)

It’s all about compromise and if it wasn’t his way he wouldn’t do it. I love Sebastian but he is better off on his own because he wants everything his way only.
@@Sean021122 Rachel Bolan is an idiot and was jealous of Sebastian cause he was getting all the recognition( SB) and Rachel wasn't, even tho Rachel and Snake own the band. Sebastian had a temper he still brought eyes to the band with his neg publicity Sebastian even lost his voice for Skid Row because he pours everything into the songs...Rachel is the problem with Skid Row just sell your half of the band to Snake and let move on to making new songs with Sebastian!!!

Two first Skid Row albums great, then the third bit grunge influenced, not so great. Seb had the voice and guitar players wrote the tunes. Heard one new tune 2022, awful overproduced plastic.
