I'm a brazilian girl and when I watched this episode of Cold Case I just loved it so much! 'cause of the story, the musics, and 'cause of "Ramon" hahaha he's perfect! I found out he's brazilian, so hot!
I remember this episode, the Spanish guy and the woman who killed a few other women making them believe they were on dating marriage...Few Cold Case fans know this but this episode is based on the Lonely Hearts killers Raymond Fernandez and Martha Beck, who killed some 20 women from New York to Michigan in the late 1940s and 1950s, targeting them because all the them shared - all the women were lonely and joined dating clubs at that time, some were single mothers looking for men to share their lives with. Both were executed in New York City in 1951
I read about that in a book about serial killers. And then I thought "wait, I have seen this in an episode of a series". Even the names were almost the same.
Believe it or not this episode is inspired by a real life couple Martha Beck & Raymond Fernandez dubbed The Lonely Heart Killers during late 1940s. They only charged for one murder but suspected of at least 20. They both received the death penalty
It's fair to say that this was one of the most bizarre episodes of network television drama I've ever seen. If I ever seen the whole ep again, it will be too soon.
I feel so sorry for these women. They did nothing to deserve their lot in life except being born with the wrong genes. They were victims of Mother Nature's cruel game.
It's not a cruel game. Beautiful is beyond just skin deep. There are women that society would label "beautiful" and they are horrible people with very low self esteem.
@wayneb137 I'd rather be the sheepdog that faces down the wolves to protect the sheep. Or the Ram with it's large horns tthat headbutts the wolf into oblivion.
Thats CHEATING!!! You can't use Alone by Heart. DAMN YOU COLD CASE you make another song I love into something that will ALWAYS depress the hell out of me... damnit...
im kinda confused .... In the end, did Ramon actually really love Martha or was it something else especially since he was watching Martha's tape right before he shot himself?
Yes, he did love her after a while in the "partnership" although he didn't in the beginning. He didn't want to live without her anymore and committed suicide while watching her video. The last picture he wanted to see was hers.
They had an episode where they reopened the case of a guy on death row. It's called "Death Penalty: FInal Appeal" and it is in Season 3. It was the best argument against the death penalty I have seen.
I truly miss this series. Loved the actors, the characters, the stories, the music....ALL OF IT.
I wish this was on Netflix
@@josephhernandez1885 is on Hbo max

Gaston Palavicino wow crazy
Wow that's very interesting. I never knew that
I read about that in a book about serial killers. And then I thought "wait, I have seen this in an episode of a series".

I heard this serial killer couple I saw it on deadly women and cold case
Nossa como eu adorava essa música anos 80.
Another fact that people might not know is that Bruno Campos the actor who played Ramon was also the voice of Naveen in Princess and the Frog
I love how they showed that the transvestite too found love in the end - as if to say that there *is* in fact love for everyone :)
Ann Wilson...THE QUEEN!!!
this episode is the sole reason i am obssessed with this song. Brilliant episode though I did find it difficult to feel for some of the characters.
He did love Martha, but when he said "lets get married" she saw it as the sign he was planning to kill her, wich he didnt.
There both evil people.
Buella and the other victims of Ramon and Martha are the true victims in this episode.
Just love this shorter version of Alone, totally fitting in the storlyline at the ending of this episode.
Fantastic show trying to get my TV antenna working so I can watch again
lily has the look, she's so beautiful and you can feel it when she looked at the victim.
Shes a doll
Y también es un ángel
El mejor de todos los finales del Cold Case..!!!
Great song and great episode :D
I think it is the very fitting the guy who started it is seen in a mirror, where his true form could not be seen.
Quelle voix !!
I find it fitting that the guy was seen in a mirror, were people couldnt see he was really like.
A very bittersweet episode
Aww, Nick and Buella...
I miss this show . Way better than Medium
By far
My eyes are perfectly fine, you don't have to be rude if someone has different taste in women than you.

Uno de mis episodios favoritos
Cold case ❤
this one was soo sad those poor women ya want to cry for them even the one that killed the one who helped the guy kill the other ones :/

A noite passa devagar
Damn. I used to claim not to cry for almost anything but this ep really made me burst in tears and the ending song did kill me. Damn.
Bruckheimer is a legend

@@Tauro420 Same vice versa. Being positive and being your best self brings better energy
love can do crazy things
and the ones she killed were just as sad as she was
so very sad on all sides. at least the woman they killed got justice in some way.

Cold Case actually received a reprieve. 'Without a Trace' was supposedly sacrificed for Cold Case to have its 7th and final season.
What!! I loved W/O a Trace..almost as much as Cold Case!!! How may I get to see TRACE reruns..any chance??
"Without A Trace" is out on DVD (I have the whole set), but they are hard to find, and I don't know if all season were released in the U.S.

Artist: Hearts

Victor Mtnez. Vitidjin ...just "HEART", singular.
Thats CHEATING!!! You can't use Alone by Heart. DAMN YOU COLD CASE you make another song I love into something that will ALWAYS depress the hell out of me... damnit...
Film cold case = Oscar
Probably6x02, 'True Calling'.
This song is for Alannah Myles in Canada Eh. She tried to rip off Heart.
Is there anywhere you can watch this series...I love this show !!
It's on HBO Max
im kinda confused .... In the end, did Ramon actually really love Martha or was it something else especially since he was watching Martha's tape right before he shot himself?
It seems to indicate that he had actually fallen for her, and couldn't cope with her death, so he killed himself.
Vasiliy Fet ...guilt
Yes, he did love her after a while in the "partnership" although he didn't in the beginning.
He didn't want to live without her anymore and committed suicide while watching her video.
The last picture he wanted to see was hers.
Yeah he did actually love Martha hence why he never was anyone ever again after she died and killed himself watching her tape
@hint0122 I think it's because the guy was so vain, narrcissists, and two-faced.
whats the song called?
Alone, performed by Heart.
I should point out that Pennsylvania also has the death penalty
They had an episode where they reopened the case of a guy on death row.
It's called "Death Penalty: FInal Appeal" and it is in Season 3.
It was the best argument against the death penalty I have seen.
Oscar
Nice song
but I prefer Becca's version
criminals or victims ?
First ghost victim
2nd criminal
3rd both
