Correct
@@AlanTov well I do have the travelAssist and it does what it’s supposed to do. I feel that most car companies are not over selling this feature and are aware it’s limitations.
Please How can I update my Chinese VW ID 6 car while I am in Dubai and there is no user identification on the car so that the update is done manually and not over the air?🤔
Will this update Cupra Born as well since they using same software
Yes, but later and possible to all the features.
Is there any news about 2-way charging (V to G)?
No
How do you know if your ID3 has the side sensors or not? We got ours in Sept 2021 is that classified as old or new?
Is any of this applicable to the Skoda Enyaq as well?
I haven't gotten a great reply from our local Skoda dealer about ap dating our enyaq software. They don't seem to know anything about it.
Hi Chris! Nice video as always, straight to the point 👌👌
I'm the owner of a 2020 ID3 Pro tech. Sadly no side sensors here... You think a retrofit could be possible? I mean, if it could be done in a reasonable price it could be worth considering it
Thanks. I don't know.
@Longplay Dude I think that the side sensors are only in the assistant park plus option (which btw here in Switzerland comes by default now).
A lot of News. But I didn't hear something about heating up the battery when I navigate to a HPC. Really?

@@BatteryLife 😡
It seems to me, that they do not drive their own cars in everyday life. Otherwise they would know what are biggest problems. Nor they read user groups, they would know ...
This app is not available in the USA.
I wonder if this software will be added to skoda and cupra born any time soon...
Yes
Great job love the enthusiasm, any mention of brake hold. I would hope all 2022 models will have version 3.0. Just got an email from VW my order will be delayed do to supply shortages and the war with no insight on how long of a delay, when order locked in January 15th was told delivery mid 2022 now just hoping to get it this year.
Auto hold is in the cars from the start
I've read somewhere that only ID5 can use all features in the 3.0 Update. My guess was the swarm data but apparently that was wrong. Anyone know what features in 3.0 that are exclusive to the ID5?
Nothing is exclusive to Id.5
All id cars can use all features when they have the hardware.
@@BatteryLife thank you for clarifying. So my id4 that will arrive sometime between June and november will have the hardware?
Do we know if the improved voice control will mean that 2021 Pro Life models will be able to control things like climate control using voice (which I can't currently do)?
Thank you for the overview. Most of the changes to travel assist are already working on my 2021 PRO S ID.4 RWD. Travel assist activated and the turn signal activated, the car will gently steer in that direction until the signal is cancelled or a solid line is sensed and there are no vehicles beside me. Makes highway driving a delight (ID.4 drives you). Works beautifully at 70 mph (112 KH) and will even work at 40 mph (64 KH) but really is not a help at slow speed. A number of other ID.4 drivers here in the US have the same travel assist capability.
There Will be auto park (plain) for id4 1st (not Max.)? Jun21
No.
Thanks
My ID.3 1st Max does have side assist... but not side camera. Will this be enough for new travel/park assist features? Or did they explicitly state that all 1st gen cars won't be able to do it?
No, this won‘t be enough.
It needs to have the side sensors in the front and in the rear.
People around the web are very disappointed because seems to be that all updates will work only with the new models… is that true ?
Park Assist and Auto lange change yes. Also mentioned in the video btw.
Hi Chris! Zunächst danke für die Videos. 👍 Frage.
Danke Dir. VG
Marketing. Das bekomme ich dann im Detail später. Hoffentlich.
My problem i still didnt get the 2.4 update eventhough i accepted the stuff in the email i got. Can i force the update?
Yes. dealer should
You can just get 2.4, no need for 2.3
@@BatteryLife just talked to my official vw dealer. I have the 2.1 sofrware on my 58kw ID3. They say, if there is NO problem with the car the WONT upload a new software on the care, otherwise i have to pay for it?!?! . And furthermore there is NO update for my car available to upgrade, they can see that, he said. So they wont do anything.
Where is my software update to fix the stupid schedule charging bug…. Where’s my break to zero true one paddle driving……
Scheduled charging works with 2.4
One pedal driving will never come
Hopefully the „older“ IDs are able to buy ACC via the onboard-Shop. Do you have any information about that?
I've got the same question on a pre-configured Pure Performance, really want that ACC
No info, I doubt it though.
VW really need to up their game. Why are they not learning from the rest of VAG?
What do you mean rest of vag ? Skoda and cupra are as slow vw with updates, they just have newer cars within never software to start with. Audi uses its own system. Anyways meb is just a small step the trinity will change everything in couple of years. VW probably only lauches 2 new id models and then moves to the new platform
@@jkajolin why don’t they learn from Audi and Porsche?
Hi Chris.
I hoped the Vehicle 2 Grid function (Bidirectional Charging) would have come in on Software 3.0. Any news on this?
No mentioning
Thanks. Jusr a question : wasn’t it you who said last year that vw intended to provide updates every like 3 months ‽
CEO Diess said that.
@@BatteryLife thanks. I don’t doubt you we’re told it, by vw. But that commitment has sure gone quiet since! We’re you able to ask if this is something they’re still shooting for? With their “accelerate “ programme it wouod he ironic if they’ve decided to slow down !
Hi Chris, most of the features of 3.0 are useless because they will not be available for the already produced IDs. Can you please clearly state which features will be for what model years. To my knowledge there will be no lane change assist, no swarm data, no park assist etc… for the already produced vehicles. When people watch your videos they are looking forward to features they won’t get. This is misleading.
Cars since Summer 2021 will use it
Oh, if only they would add current consumption into instrument cluster. Then all 4 important numbers would be finally at one place - odometer, guessometer, SoC, current consumption. No, my mistake - odometer is not visible during drive :-(
will come in 3.1, already seen on the Id Buzz
