How I mixed The WORST vocal recording I've ever received

Mix breakdown of a less than ideal recording of a male rap vocal. Mix RPD shows how he dealt with a track with some unpleasant room reflections, comb filtering, distortion.. basically everything you don't want in audio.

You can try deroom pro 2 by accentize to remove early reflections and the overall reverb due to untreated rooms. It usually works quite well.

@@natecora that's true, but the bigger problem was the comb filtering that the early reflections caused to be present in the recording. I have recently learned of a plugin that can fix this but don't own it at this time.

Getting back into producing w FL, been a min... the EQ on vocals had me curious at first

Its not all recording set up, as an artist you need to work on your "rap voice" you dont want to rap how you talk unless youre just blessed with a pop smoke voice. Kudos on the outcome though good work.
