I'm so happy there's finally been a segment of Aimen talking about mario kart. I've never played competitive mkw but watched a lot on youtube growing up and loved watching the game. Easily the number 1 thing that i think mario kart 8 does that makes bad as a casual experience in comparison to wii is distance based item distribution. Having the cool stong items be locked behind how far you are from others as opposed to raw placement feels like it gives less opportunity to actually interact with other drivers with said items. Where as in previous titles first-last could be within a few seconds of each other in a large pack creating more chaos with powerful items which i think is more interesting in a casual experience.
All around great chemistry this pod. Back to back bangers. I love the angle Squeex brings into the pod, he's very charming and can run with a bit well.

Squeex’s crazy fast rise honestly reminds me of how Ludwig blew up. He went from being The Reads editor to big collabs in a really short period of time. Definitely seems like if other content creators like you a lot, you get a lot more opportunities

I completely agree with Squeex that skins ruined CS. When the community went from watching majors and cheering for their favorite teams to majors only being about gambling it really killed the experience for me and a few of my friends. I know overall it was the correct financial decision, but it really sucked as a viewer and player.
