- Businessman Jimi Wanjigi has resurfaced after a more than 24-hour standoff that saw police officers raid his Muthaiga home, this is after the court issued conservatory orders barring the police from arresting him. The police had sought the arrest of Wanjigi over claims of being linked to anti-government protests after teargas canisters were allegedly found in a vehicle outside his home on Thursday. Wanjigi has threatened to sue the government for damages caused by the attempted arrest as he distanced himself from claims of financing the protests
