I am a person who has daily migraines and often can't get out of bed most days. I LOVE to read but often times can't due to my migraines making any light too bright and physically painful for my eyes. Hello Jenni with an i. I too am a Jenni with an i but over the last few years dropped to just Jen. My daily chronic migraine and cluster headaches combo don’t allow me to lay in the dark. They don’t let me lay down at all. So I literally sit bolt upright and listen to any books I can find. I lose all focus in my eyes so no way can I read a book. Dear James, I finally finished this one. Finally as in, it was interrupted several times by your great Rogue Star books :D In between I was listening to this here. Now that I've finished it I have to say that during perhaps the first hour I didn't quite manage to get immersed but I kept on listening. I'm glad I did because that's when the story started to become irresistible :) Impressive stuff. Interesting development. As always, your great imagination that creates locations, worlds and universes is absolutely stunning. And I like the characters. What keeps amazing me is when you go wild creating "your" magic stuff. No limitations. Nice how that slogan "free your mind" works for you - it's been a pleasure and a great entertainment listening to your works. Especially because you slip in funny stuff every now and then, keeping me grinning most of the time :) So, thank you so much for sharing your work and thank you very much for this one - I'm ready for book 2. After listening to the portal wars saga twice, the soul bound arc and starting this one… I can’t stop listening. Keep up the great work. Bobby and blade are enjoyable. Only 2 hours in but this reminds me of Aladdin so far. The wizard, jafar; the princess, jasmine; and I can only assume this hunter may be our Aladdin. Good story helping me get through my 11 hour drive home

I would love to see you do some type of werewolf series and weave magic into it somehow. I really enjoy your magic books even though I haven't enjoyed other Magic books in the past. The nightmare of winter by Mr Savage on Dead man talking Channel is a great example of a werewolf story.

I'm somewhere around chapter 37-38. Strange. When I heard about the sultan's bargain with the wizard, I had a flashback to signing my first credit card agreement. I wonder why🤔😉 Thanks for remembering to knock that priest on his ass, smug and delusional, an all to common failing. I can't wait to find out what you have in mind for Shale. I'm betting the wolf things didn't finish him and that guy seriously needs his dome kicked in, a large dose of humiliation would make his end even more enjoyable. Stupidity, muscles and ego always result in terrible human beings and they deserve what they get.
The nasal narrator killed me, dun! I was pumped after the author did his little intro and then my ear holes had to take a second to realize that this is being read by a family guy extra. I tried. I did. I just can't.

A well written, well paced narrative. I thought the ending was perhaps a bit too simple a resolution given the intensity of the sorcerer and the potential doom of the princess. I think that endings are always tricky to resolve well. The Game of Thrones certainly got it entirely wrong and we are all still reeling from that fiasco. “Magician” on the other hand I thought did a great job of the resolution.
Love the overall story and most of the characters. Awesome job! Except for Daktari and his parts, he feels too powerful to be that incompetent in getting what he wants... that's my opinion. Don't get me wrong, though, I'm still thoroughly enjoying this book because the rest of it is fantastic.
I'm glad you're enjoying them. I'm planning on at least another eight. I can't say exactly when since I work on them between other projects. That's just for this year. I'll keep adding more as I write and produce them.

I love how you created Dactary he is "the bad guy "but the whole book I spent wondering who is really the evil one or Vilus (sorry not sure how to spell it) I mean countless life's were lost. Also Dactary Is a very cool name.

That's one of my favorite aspects of creating a villain. Mustache twirling nut jobs can be fun, but they get boring.
I smiled so hard when I heard "asses over elbows". I'm a NYC fireman and have only heard that used when guys dive down stairs when it becomes untenable. Thank you for that. Also just finished "Portal Wars" and "Soul Bound" series; can't wait to finish this one!
I didn't know it was a fireman expression. I heard my Grandfather say it a few times when describing someone hitting an icy spot. Always great to hear from a fellow New Yorker. Though I'm from about 400 miles north of you in the Adirondacks.

I would love to see you do some type of werewolf series and weave magic into it somehow. I really enjoy your magic books even though I haven't enjoyed other Magic books in the past.
The nightmare of winter by Mr Savage on Dead man talking Channel is a great example of a werewolf story.

The nasal narrator killed me, dun! I was pumped after the author did his little intro and then my ear holes had to take a second to realize that this is being read by a family guy extra. I tried. I did. I just can't.

A well written, well paced narrative. I thought the ending was perhaps a bit too simple a resolution given the intensity of the sorcerer and the potential doom of the princess.
I think that endings are always tricky to resolve well. The Game of Thrones certainly got it entirely wrong and we are all still reeling from that fiasco.
“Magician” on the other hand I thought did a great job of the resolution.
There are two more books in the series, so it's really only the end for the moment. The mainly serves to set what's coming in rest of the trilogy.

Except for Daktari and his parts, he feels too powerful to be that incompetent in getting what he wants... that's my opinion.
Don't get me wrong, though, I'm still thoroughly enjoying this book because the rest of it is fantastic.
