March was actually quite good for my strategies. If you know your strategies, a month like this is of course annoying, but that's all it is. Keep up the great videos :)
Jacob, its not easy being transparent when you know that we look forward to your PnL reports, yet you stay transparent. Commendable! Question - have you had fill, slippage issues with the large position size you seem to put on (50 ES)? What is the largest single order size you put on (ES or NQ) and have not had a problem with getting filled without price jumping away from you?
Thank you for the support! Yes, I have slippage as I use market orders, on ES and NQ usually 1-2 ticks on average now I am holding for multiple hours so at the end of the day it's negligible.
Though month seeing your gains disappear. However, you should look at the long run. As long as you stay in the game you will eventually find a balanced portfolio that does well in every market condition. Thanks for the transparency and motivation :D
Question about trading CL. I have heard that the general rule is to switch contracts on the 18th of the month since that is when the volume rolls over. For example, last Wednesday was 4/17, trading the May contract. Then starting 4/18, start trading June. Does that agree at all with your CL trading?
How can u use algo? When market sometimes is bullish sometimes bearish sometimes sideways. Different market requires different trading style. Mean reversion strategy will kill u bear market. If ur algo is scalping then that's different. 5 minutes .
He uses multiple strategies with higher risk reward for each strategy .. so suppose if risk reward is 2.1 then lossing strategies will loss for 1 and winning will be 2 so the net profit will be 1 ... This way algo trader do.they don't rely only one system .. they rely on multiple system .. and try to loss less and win more ..
Key is to have multiple algos each with unique traits to give you the best possible edge. You are right mean reversion algos will not work well on trending days up or down and vice versa. If you have multiple good strategies that aren't correlated, you should succeed in the long run.
Hey Ernesto, very blanket statement. If you build trading systems correctly then NT is a very accurate backtesting tool. Include slippage, commissions, don't fill limit on touch and stay away from Renko/Heiken Aishi/Exoctic bars and you should be good.
@@jacobamaral Bro back testing in NT is not totally accurate during my backtest I had glitches, where orders aren’t being executed properly, indicators aren’t working as expected, trailing etc. Even you in a video you made earlier mentioned all the things you had to do ensure a “good” backtest, etc.

You left off a few zeros....

Hello my friend, if you wanna do better with algo trading start by not using NT backtest tool at all, big pile of garbage.
