Love it! Can’t get enough of these episodes. I missed so many while away from home in the service.
Thanks for sharing these treasures from your father!
Glad you like them!
The good old days of huge Lake Michigan perch runs sadly gone like my dad and Fred. Watching that has filled me with nostalgia.
Glad to hear.
I most certainly miss perch fishing! Thank you Zach!!!!
You and me both!
Gone but not forgotten Fred Trost
Great timing. Just sit down with a fish sandwich.
Hope you enjoy
Great show Zach. I really appreciate being able to watch them here on y.t.!!!
Glad you are enjoying them.
Thanks for these fond memories
Your welcome.
I still use this recipe today what are the greatest recipes for bluegill another great episode Zach keep up the great work
Glad you like them!
Thank you.
You're welcome!
I remember this episode. I went out and got a vast variety of sensitive floats. I still have most of them. They work great on bluegills. Also, on steelhead or sensitive trout. Pike and walleye jigging can't be beat. Ive been asked to share many times over the years. Mom kinda came up with her own take on many of these recipes, including this one. Delicious! Thanks for sharing!!
Thanks for sharing!
I'm surprised no one hook a walleye but the rainbow was a bonus with all the perch to feed on.
👍
Man Michigan perch days off the bubbler in Grand Haven the zebra muscles ruined that!
Amongst other invasive species like the Gobi
Never will see the fishing for native fish we used to in Southern lake Michigan. Those days are long gone comparison wise. Just salmon and lake trout seems like. Even the sucker runs a minimal at best.
Yes it is unfortunate
I can't remember the guys name at the end eating with Fred.
That's Charlie Keenan.
@@southdakotahiker3855 Thanks, this was my early teen years watching with my dad every Thursday. I miss shows like this.
@rzl07375 I hear you; this was a Thursday night ritual; Michigan Outdoors came on 7:30pm on PBS Detroit. We would all take our positions (including our yellow Labrador Retriever) and watch as a family. I miss shows like this too.
@@southdakotahiker3855 Dad would say everybody either be quiet or leave the room, it was serious business lol.
