Zeera Matar Pulao - Road side Chicken Curry - Is khanay ki khusboo aur taste kamal🥰

Roadside Chicken ka salan
Ingredients
MARINATION:
Chicken 1 to 1.5 kg
Salt to tatse
Red chili to taste
Turmeric powder 1/2 tbsp
Ginger paste 1/2 tbsp
Garlic paste 1/2 tbsp
GRAVY:
Oil 1/2 cup
Chopped onion 1 big
Ginger paste 1 tsp
Garlic paste 1 tsp
Tomato 2 (blended into paste)
Green chilies 1-2, chopped
Yogurt 1 cup
Salt to taste (marination has salt too, so add accordingly)
Red chili powder ro taste
Coriander powder 3 tsp
Cumin powder 1.5 tap
Dried fenugreek (methi) 1 tsp
Cumin seeds 3/4 tap
OTHER:
Onions cut into cubes 1 handful
Tomatoes 1-2, cut into cubes and seeds removed
Garam masala 3/4 tsp
Fresh coriander chopped
PREPARATION:
Marinate the chicken in ginger garlic paste, salt, red chili powder and turmeric powder for 30 minutes.
Heat oil in a cooking pot and add chopped onions. Allow to soften and add ginger and garlic paste. Saute for a minute.
Add blended tomatoes and green chilies and cook until the oil separates from the garvy.
Turn the flame low and add whisked yogurt, salt, chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, fenugreek and cumin seeds. Cover and cook until oil separates once again.
Add marinated chicken and turn the flame high. Saute until chicken pieces turn white. Now cover and cook for 30-35 minutes until the moisture evaporates and chicken is fully cooked.
Lastly, add cubed onions and cubed tomatoes. Cover and cook for just 5-8 minutes until the raw smell of onions and tomatoes is gone and they still hold their texture and crunch.
Add chopped coriander and garam masala.
Give a stir and enjoy with matar zeera rice.

Rice 3 cups, soaked at least 1 hour
Oil 1/4 cup
Black cardamoms/kali ilaichi 3
Bay leaves/tez pat 2
Cloves/long 8
Black peppercorns/kali mirch 1/2 tsp
Black cumin/ Kala zeera 2 tsp
Peas (I used frozen) 1 cup
Salt to taste
Water 6 cups
