Don't psychedelics shut down and slow down certain regions of the brain? Or like more real or increased experiences during an NDE when there is little to no brain activity. Interesting subject matter all 'round.
Typically, psychedelics will decrease most brainwave activity (delta, theta, alpha, beta), especially alpha in the default mode network. However, you also often see increases of high beta and gamma during these states.
Could it be deemed possible that someone who is tapping into a higher consciousness, who brain Is re-acting in a similar way to Laura's, could be diagnosed with epilepsy, rather than psychic and mediumship abilities that haven't been fine tuned?
That is a tricky question. In some cases, it seems that seizure activity or a head injury actually initiates the psychic or mediumship abilities. So, there can be a relationship between the two, and both exist. I am not familiar with any data showing that psychic or mediumship abilities has been misdiagnosed as epilepsy...
@@neuromeditationinstitute thank you so much for your response. So as I understand what you are suggesting is that I could ultimately have been and am epileptic, however in being so it may serve as the initial trigger into my psychic and mediumship abilities?
@@lottiewynnpsychicmedium That is certainly possible. The research I have done with psychics and mediums has consistently shown that certain parts of the brain either "shut down" or misfire while they are engaged in their abilities. I suspect that certain regions of the brain need to "get out of the way" in order for other information to come through.
@@neuromeditationinstitute this is simply fascinating. Thank you so much for your insight i really appreciate it!. I'm definitely looking at it as a blessing and not a curse now!..
@@neuromeditationinstitute one of the most amazing Americans Mrs Harriet Tubman was hit in the head and suffered debilitating migraines and sleeping spells that could last for 2-3 days straight. She also had psychic gifts… she was led and guided by her “angels” as she called them. That’s the reason why she was NEVER caught and was able to die a free woman in her 90’s. Amazing story actually. She quoted exodus a lot on her journeys. She was nicknamed “Mama Moses” because God led her to free her people and spoke with her directly as she put it. Seriously, research her story!
Lynne is great and what a shame for few views
Much of the best content on TH-cam has the fewest views. Don't worry about everyone else.
It takes time to elevate to this type of thinking
very cool!
